Delicious tea, coffee and cake stop on a 10 mile walk from Baslow via Curber and Froggarts Edge. Lovely service. Sat outside looking at the edge where we had walked earlier sipping on my tea gave me great satisfaction. Outdoor blankets were added bonus.

Stopped here at the weekend. An amazing menu with lots of Veggie and Vegan options. Was initially put off by the price (a little expensive) but the food was well worth it and looked and tasted beautiful. I had a Hummus, Olive and Sun Blushed Tomato Baguette which was massive, tasted rich and came with a beautiful side salad. Shall... More

Used this as a meeting place pre walk in the Peak District. Venue was rather crowded but we managed to find a seat and order. Unfortunately our order and was correct but not with a smile. The food was good and wholesome. Nice place just need to brush up customer skills

This cosy café has a really impressive menu and it's great to see an extensive range of vegan and gluten free dishes - which of course are excellent for everyone and the vegan dishes we had are highly recommended, very tasty and beautifully presented.

A friend and I had enjoyed a lovely visit to Chatsworth House to see the Christmas decorations. By lunchtime the eating places there were crowded, but my friend suggested a little place she knew nearby - and I was so pleased she had. The cafe is small and intimate, but full of flavour. There was plenty of choice on the... More

We had finished a walk in the area and were looking for a substantial late lunch and found it here. Food was excellent and very tasty with bottomless tea as well. We were tempted by the excellent cake selection after but as it was mid afternoon and dinner on the horizon we reluctantly decided against. Service really quick. It is... More

Just dropped in for a coffee & cake, we're local and know how good the food here is...but what's happened to the usual friendly service? I had to ask to order our drinks when the lady walked past me at the counter, I really felt like she didn't want to serve me! Then we had drunk our hot drinks by... More

We were regular visitors for 12 years when we lived in Derbyshire.....we now live in Suffolk but try to fit in a visit whenever we're in the area. The breakfasts are excellent! The best kedgeree ever and eggs benedict is always cooked to perfection. The cake selection is amazing and we occasionally give in to temptation. Free top-ups on tea... More

I have been visiting the Derbyshire Craft Centre and The Eating House, for some 20 years. And what a truly magical place it is. Whilst it is two seperate entities, the Eating House is joined on to The Derbyshire Craft Centre, and is situated within the village of Calver, and is also within easy reach of Curbar, and the rest...
