After reading reviews about this restaurant by the sea side, we decided it is a compulsory must have dinner for us here. It was our last night in Iceland and driving from Skaftafell to Keflavik, we made a stop at Fjorubodid restaurant around 6.30pm. We were lucky to have a table for six person as we did not make any... We stopped for an evening snack before heading back to Reykjavik. We both had the soup and it was outstanding. The flavor and quality of the Langoustine was fantastic. The prices wasn't bad for Iceland standards either and the staff were lovely. It was dark and bad weather during our visit but the restaurant has a good location right by... More

The lobster in garlic butter sauce is a real treat. They are more like super hard-shelled prawn and a bit hard/messy to crack into, but it's worth the effort...SO YUMMY! Our meal included various salads that I dug into in between every 3-4 lobster. I think I stopped after having 12, but I could've kept going if I weren't with... More

Super good service and serves great lobsters! Ordered a three course meal (including a soup, 400g of lobsters and a dessert) for 3 girls and it was filling.

A mystical restaurant on the seashore that serves giant langoustines to satisfy any hungry traveler's stomach. The perfect place for a celebratory dinner as their restaurant has sections for an intimate dinner or a feast with friends. We were able to take a tour of the restaurant before they closed and the restaurant has a spacious banquet area that the... More

With all the places to choose from this one received the number one spot so we made our way late one evening after hiking glaciers all day. This restaurant far exceeded even the top spot recommendation. The staff were gracious and informative while providing us with the best bisque I have ever eaten in my life. We then received a... My husband and I read about this restaurant on our trip. We decided to make it our last dinner in Iceland. It was a drive from Reykjavík. It was a charming restaurant . The staff was reserved and not overly friendly. The menu is simple. We decided to get the meal or two. I think I would of been happy... More

We came for lunch after a trip to the secret lagoon.Really friendly welcome and so cosy and a relief to be out of the elements. We both had the full langoustine menu with the trimmings. The magic soup, for me was the star of the show, simply one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten, a true taste sensation. Dramatic... More

At the seashore the giant lobster makes appointments with mermaids and Landlubbers. He waves his large claws, attracting the desire to be in the company of starfish and lumbfish. The village's corrugated iron houses, located just above its harbour, smack of ocean fragrance and seahorses. The village is named Stokkseyri and it sits just sixty thousand metres from Icelands capital, with a view of volcanoes, the ocean and endless hayfields. Under the stars, an even more important journey takes place - across salivating tongues, beautiful stomachs and joyful minds...
