Cozy place and friendly staff but the food wasn't served at the same time. The food was ok but not a wow moment.

Came to Unkaizen for birthday dinner. Was impressed with the service, food offerings and pricing. Sushi chef and owner really knew what he was doing, and the young local waitress be also knew her stuff. Ambiance was authentic tropical Langkawi a'la Japanese. We ordered live snapper made into Sashimi and Char grill. It was fantastic, the live snapper sashimi was... More

If you are craving some Fresh Japanese you can't go past this restaurant. It was a bit of a drive from our hotel but only 5 minutes away from night markets and shopping. Sashimi was incredibly fresh and the wagyu beef melted in your mouth. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this place... More

I can't say enough about the food here. I'm pescetarian and the seafood was delectable here. We had the miso salmon, a seafood teppanyaki and a tuna sashimi salad, all were amazing. Staff were beautiful. Hard to get in do hook early or be prepared to eat late - they seated is at 9pm and people were still arriving then!... More

We read about Unkaizan being rated as Malaysia’s best Japanese restaurant and it was evident to see why. Upon stepping into the Japanese hut on a hill, we were greeted and served by the pleasant and friendly crew that made you feel very welcome. We dined in the cozy restaurant – twice in 2 days because we loved it so... More

The food was delicious. We sat outside (table). Nice view. You can also sit japanese style in pavilions. Very friendly and attentive staff. Reservation recommended.

Good food and nice service. Menu had a nice mix of fresh seafood and Japanese beef. Staff is friendly and the setting was very nice (we sat outside on the veranda - mosquitoes were not a problem).

Was here several times with friends and boyfriend for dinner. Authentic Japanese food with authentic Japanese restaurant settings. Do not prefer their sushi but would always go for their cooked dishes. Good to visit during happy hour to get 50% of the drinks.

Thank Beatrice L
