My husband and I took A1 water taxi over to Stocking Island and we visited Chat n Chill. We both ordered a conch burger with slaw and then went over to the conch salad making stand and ordered a salad. Talk about fresh! Conch pulled...straight out of the water, cut up right in front of us. Sooo cool and yummy! We got to feed the sting rays and enjoyed our time on the island before heading back inland. We even got to take a conch shell home with us! Really awesome!More

From the location and setting, to the activities and gift shop, Chat ‘N’ Chill is a must-do for anyone—regardless if you have kids with you or not. We were able to jet ski, play volleyball or cornhole, enjoy the tree swings, pet the stingrays, and...simply chill. The water taxi to get there was super easy and quick—perfect for making your stay on the island longer. My personal favorite was the Conch Bar, where conch salad is made on the spot; ask for Ronado. Highly recommend!More

Four in our group got sick from the food that cooks all day long. Bartenders were not pleasant. It was the day after Independence day, so maybe they were sick of the crowd!! Flies were awful. We could not even eat our food on the...pic nick tables. Yes, can't do much about that, but still kinda dirty area.More

I see why they recommend everyone come here if they visit EXUMA--it's the experience. You arrive on a water taxi ($20 round trip) and basically chill around the island. Drinks were very good , the Pig Roast was just okay for me. I would not...do that again but instead have the Conch Salad from the Conch shack. Now that was excellent. Ronaldo makes it in front of you. The stingrays (by the Conch shack) are used to people and will swim around you. You can feed them conch scraps if you ask Ronaldo for some. He is AWESOME. Have fun and note that the last water taxi to leave is at 5pm.More

The island and beach are stunning, the stingrays were so fun, plenty of shade. However, the food is literally INEDIBLE. Disgusting. The trash bags on the island were a surprise as well. I’d go back to the island but I’d bring my own food.

We spent several hours at Chat and Chill and enjoyed it very much. The beach is gorgeous, we got to feed giant sting rays, and munched on snacks and sipped drinks from the bar. Fun music was playing, service was friendly. We had a great...time. Cheers!More

This restaurant is raved about on so many sites, even by the taxi drivers we came across, however, it was not as expected. It really looked run down. I was so surprised when I finally saw what was listed as "you can't call your Exuma...visit complete if you haven't stopped at Chat 'n' Chill". Don't get me wrong, the staff were friendly, but the place was dingy. Wood looked very worn down, almost felt like an old large abandoned shack. I went to wash my hands and in the bathroom, I ran into a woman who told me, without me asking or saying anything, that the owners were "loaded" but won't put a dime into maintaining the place. She said it is a good place to get drinks/drunk and that's all that mattered on the island. As she was talking, one of the toilets randomly flushed on its own. There was no air circulation, fan or AC and she said that its hard to get things like infrastructure on a remote island, though it is a 5 minute boat ride from the mainland, AND there are literally 2 fully functioning resorts a 5 minute walk away, which is how we arrived. On that walk, you will pass a junk yard of some black trash bags all along the foliage, and glass bottles all in the water. I ordered a sandwich and got hamburger buns with a slice of cheese, 10 minutes after ordering. And there was not much in the gift shop. The resort had its own gift shop, I'd recommend that one. Overall, I think if it was broadcast as a hole in the wall bar, I wouldn't of had such high expectations. I'd of visited it still, but due to the false pretenses, I had to leave this review. It is a spot for the older crowd, regulars. We didn't stay long. I hope they clean it up and update it to keep up with their surroundings. The totem of city names is a picturesque spot. That's about it for us personally. We checked it out and can say we did, but trust, you aren't missing anything if you don't stop here.More

Stopped here for lunch with our boat rental. The food was the worst we had on the island. The American tourists who flock to this place and write raving reviews are delusional. It is not clear to me how this place became such an institution...but evidently they no longer need to work hard to attract customers. They do not need to be nice to customers, to offer decent food, or to fix the rotten egg smell that pervades the hut. Tourists will keep coming because apparently it is cool to do so. The location deserves a visit, and so do the two large stingrays that will swim over to greet you as you park the boat.More

Not worth the $80 water taxi….($20 per person) Underwhelmed on service, food, and dirty atmosphere. Not really sure why people find this a desirable place. You can spend 2 hours and $300 on lunch in much nicer places with much better food. I’ll never return.
