Cute little restaurant hut directly on the main boulvard but not very fresh! I had the conch salade but my belly was sick an hour later but for a Sands (beer) great stop or a delicous cocktail perfect spot! 5 minutes from the airport!

This unpretentious place was the best meal we had on our visit. Great food and service. The conch salad is the best I have ever had. Max makes it fresh each day. This is a must stop place while on Long Island!

We ate at Max's twice and were very pleased both times. As others have said he makes the best conch salad and we've eaten a lot of it over the years. Great jerk chicken, curry chicken, meatloaf, mac & cheese!

Gary knows food. It was a pleasure talking to him about his travels and cooking and ingredients. Don't miss the rum punch.

Simply a great little spot for some tasty fresh food and a few beers. I love the coconut conch bites, and those hand-cut chips are great. All food made to order so be prepared to wait if there's a few people there. Laid back, easy going, friendly...no frills, but good food and cold beer.

We came to Long Island by boat and stayed at Stella Maris. We packed up our 2 dogs, paddle board and rented a car to go to the blue hole. We stopped at Max's for lunch right after, at the recommendation of Sandra Cooke! It was phenomenal! THE best grilled conch we have ever had, and we're Bahamian. The conch... More

The service and hospitality is second to none. The grilled conch is the best in The Bahamas. A visit to Long Island is incomplete without a visit to Max's

Everyone who has a holiday here stops at Max's at least once - often every time they pass- maybe the flags on the Queens Highway draw you in- It is pretty central on this very long island and very near the airport at Deadman's Cay making it a great place for your last meal or drink before the flight back... This is a must see on long island. We had a great time trying almost the entire menu. The staff was great to talk with and very friendly and helpful. Just look for the flags on the highway and make sure that you stop
