I booked to stay at the nearby Greenhill Farm campsite in advance of a cycling event from Oxford next morning. Given the early start planned, I wanted somewhere local to eat. Did my research on Tripadvisor (of course!) and The Oxford Arms seemed to offer the right balance of convenience and recommendation. I arrived at around 20:00 and the pub... More

We are not Welsh but we liked the look of the menu! We are frequent visitors to The Oxford Arms and return time and time again for the lovely food, attentive staff and tasteful decor. Much thought goes into everything Bryn and his team do: preparing and serving food is clearly much more than just a job here. Even the... More

I had a meal with my family and found the staff to be very friendly and prices to be very reasonable and the triple cooked chips a must. Food overall very good and service likewise. I would definitely recommend a stop for dinner.

Needing some nourishment after a long day at auction. Found The Oxford Arms, and what a find. Delightful XIX pub in quintessential Oxfordshire Village. Delightful roaring fire invited us in. Very helpful "front of house" and a delicious supper: I had heritage beets with goats curd, followed by Scallops, black pudding and brassicas. Hubby had Devon Prawns and Blenheim Venison... More

We're frequent visitors to The Oxford Arms. Why do we go there so often? Because it's so good! We live a few miles away and know the area well, and we know it's the best food for miles around. Bryn, the owner/chef, is a very talented chef. On our most recent visit we had a superb Jerusalem Artichoke soup with... More

With the offspring away with friends we were able to have a rare diner a deux, and chose to visit the Oxford Arms for the first time in years. We were glad we did. The welcome was warm as was the building. The service was attentive in a good way - the kind where the interest in your reaction to... More

This looks like fairy typical country pub from the outside, but inside it is warm & welcoming. But the food is really exceptional, worth the trip from Worcestershire. It was on the expensive side, but all six meals from our party were received with more than enthusiastic praise. The potted shrimps & ham starters were a joy to eat, steaks... More

We were passing through the area and checked what was good nearby on tripadvisor. The Oxford Arms came up and when I saw their 1 star new year's day review, it nailed it for us - that was the place to go. The smiley welcome was great - it got even better with a super Pinot Noir and Viognier by... More

Really made our birthday outing special - sorted the table and timing to suit us despite a late booking, great food and friendly staff. All in all a lovely lunch thanks.

Called in here for lunch on a Saturday which was my birthday and really pleased that we did. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and it was nice to sit by the fire on what was a cold and miserable day. The beer and food was excellent, especially the venison burger which is apparently one of their most popular dishes.... More
