Our tour guide took our small group to this restaurant for a late lunch on our tour between Valparaiso and Santiago. On arrival it looked quaint, and there were a reasonable number of customers inside, giving us a positive first impression. Unfortunately, we had no Spanish speakers among us, and our waiter spoke no English. Our guide had recommended one... More

Many tour companies stop here for a morning break between Santiago and Valparaiso. Took a day tour to Valparaiso and tour guide told me that we are going to stop at this place which sell the best emapanada in Santiago. Love the fillings which was nice and full but did not like the pastry, find it hard, I personally prefer... More

A group of us stopped here for lunch on our way to Santiago. The place is very rural in style and the floor is made of dirt. Quite a good experience just sitting there. Unfortunately the grilled meat entry that we ordered was overcooked and had little flavor. The salad had to be sliced as the lettuce and tomatoes were... More

At first I thought the prices were a little high, but I changed my mind when the waiter brought the plates. We had enough left over for a couple of meals the next day. The food was good and the servers were friendly.

Our guide took the group here for lunch on our tour of Valparaiso and Santiago. The empanadas were good. I personally preferred the cheese empanada because the crust was more flavorful. To me, the meat version had a disproportionately large amount of crust and the meat filling was a bit skimpy in comparison. The portions here are pretty large, so... More

Have the beef empanada (watch for olive pits) and the corn and chicken pie. Cheese empanada and asada pobre were only ok. Avocado 'salad' is just sliced Avocado. Patio dining out front is nice on a warm day.

It looks like a very large palapa as you drive up. The floors are a combination of tamped dirt and tiles giving it a very rustic feel. The waiters are all males dressed in traditional “Huaso” costumes. We were somewhat daunted by the size of the menu and the fact that it was Spanish but the waiter explained any questions... More

We hired a driver to take us to visit a Chilean winery and take us to Santiago for our departure the following day. In discussing the winery, my husband said he didn't want to do wine tasting, so that meant it would just be lunch. Our drive asked if we would like to try some authentic Chilean fare. We jumped... If you want traditional Chilean food in a rustic environment outside Santiago, and hosts serving you in traditional country-side "Huaso" costumes, you must visit this place. Not only you will have traditional home-type country style chulean food, but you also have traditional Chilean music in a nice and unpretentious place. Nothing fancy about this place, but the whole experience was... More

Ate her with a group of 6 on the way to Santiago. We were all quite pleased with atmosphere and the quality of the food.. I had the corn pie which was different and quite good. Others tried the empanadas and 'stew.' All the food was tasty and enjoyable. I thought the price was a bit high - but not... More
