We enjoyed 3 lovely lunches at " L'etale". Really good food with a great menu to choose from. There was also a very reasonable children's menu which was helpful. The staff were very friendly. The portions are huge so I would suggest not having a starter. You won't be disappointed.

Admittedly we were a group of 25, so we were ushered downstairs to a lively room which was quite dark and smelled of gas from the retro gas lights on the tables. With kids on one table and adults another our teenagers were not given good service and struggled for drinks and attention. Overall the food was good and not... More

Everything within their control they managed to mess up. Slow for a greeting, slow to seat us, slow to take an order...and so it continued. Rudeness shown by responding in English to a fluent French speaker, served fish soup still with frozen bits in it, when it was eventually reheated, ten minutes later they decided to bring us a bowl!... Don't go for the fish soup. What I thought were large pieces of fish, we're actually unfrozen squares of fish soup! Half way through my food, my meal was interrupted as i was given a soup bowl and a ladel along with a quiet apology. It seems I'd been inadvertently eating from the serving bowl as this was all I... Really friendly staff and great food. Menu clearly marked with gluten for those who are sufferers and the best gluten free pizza I have tasted in years!

We were recommended to go here by our chalet hosts when they were on their day off. Initially we were looking for the best Raclette restaurant in town but when we arrived we noticed another couple having a beef dish which the waitress poured whisky over it and set it on fire - quite exciting! So we decided to have... More

Lots of people rave about L'Etale but our experience was nothing to write home about. We were seated downstairs where there was no atmosphere, the waiter was less than friendly and service very slow. We had some classic melted cheese dish but it was average compared to other places in town. Wouldn't come back.

Visit as a large group of 20 including children. The food choice was excellent and quality fantastic. They coped very well with the large party size and everyone went away happy.

What can I say other than fabulous food and super service! Everything from the never ending bread and butter, a salad starter big enough for 2, great wine, mains with amazing sides and you have a perfect night. And so busy and with a great atmosphere.

ate here a number of times & it is simply the best place in Morzine for a meal. Great service & a varied range of options on the menu. One of our dinner party was gluten free & they were more than happy to use our own supplied GF pasta. Well done to all the team at L'Etale
