I recently visited for an afternoon tea, it was very busy but service was quick and waitresses all very polite, honestly fab crab pate sandwiches, will be back again soon.

This is the perfect place to stop for afternoon tea. Lovely setting very friendly staff and a good selection of teas, coffees and cakes as well as sandwiches and light bites. We had Victoria Sponge, Bakewell and coffee cake and all were delicious.

Stumbled across Charlotte's whilst on trip down memory lane with hubby and so glad we did. Lovely friendly service and scrummy scones, what's not to like ... just wish had more space to try some of the homemade cakes .

I am not aware of their rules on pets, but remember there are three flights of stairs with many antique and antiquarian items on the landings. Hope this helps.
