Food is over priced and low quality. We were rushed. Waitress hovered, as soon as appetizers were done main course arrived. All over in 30 minutes. Felt like I was at Macdonald's. bill was over $250 for 2 people and a 30 minute dinner. This is my second time at this restaurant and it is my last.

We've been coming to The Banyan Tree for many, many years. It generally scores a four or five if you're counting stars. If I were to write this review ten years ago, I would have scored it a five. Today, it's four-ish for a few reasons: (1) it's just too packed with tourists and hotel guests (and that's ok, after... More

I often stay at Ritz Carlton Hotels as I love their properties and the perfect service. Often, though, I find the restaurants to be a disappointment (an exception being the Ritz on M in DC). Sorry to say that The Banyan Tree falls into the disappointing category. Of course the physical space, decor and service are spectacular. That's a Ritz... More

Our lobster miso soup was interesting but very overpriced and gave me a stomachache afterwards. Not sure that the lobster was fully cooked.

We stumbled upon this place when we were at the Dragon's Teeth Access Trail parking. It's a short walk on a nice path towards the Ritz pool area. The fish tacos were made with locally caught mahi-mahi. They were the best we've had. Very professional service. Beautiful surroundings, definitely worth the trip.

we had better experiences at the Banyan Tree previous years. we went there with the same excitement but unfortunately our experience was not the same. We ordered the catch of the day, e.g. we weren't told about the price of this dish (it's MP) and we didn't care, but when I asked to have some bread, I was told it's... More

We (myself and my 16 year old daughter and 14 year old son) ended up here on our first night in Maui when we found the nearby beach burger place closed. Having spent more than 24 hours travelling from Australia and not eaten in hours we felt this was our only option. Arriving relatively early we were able to sit... More

My husband and I were treated to top notch service and delicious fresh seafood. The ahi tuna poke was our favorite, with the mahi mahi entree and 'donut' dessert rounding out the experience. The lobster ramen was delicately flavored and packed with seafood, but just seemed to be missing something to really bring the flavors together. Also, note that as... More

Our reservation at another restaurant had gotten screwed up so we ended up with no place to eat. The hostess was great and able to accommodate us! Took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and then were told that they were out of the wine we had selected. The new one came another 5 minutes later not very cold.... More
