Seriously great meal. Service was good, just attentive enough, but the food was superb. I had the warm terrine followed by the aged sirloin, desert was equally as good. My daughter is gluten intolerant and they were very helpful to recommend what of the menu she could have. I eat in London frequently in some nice places and I must... More

We had a lovely lunch at Y Polyn - decorated in farmhouse chic with a gourmet farm to table menu. I can't stop thinking of the savory roasted squash rotolo with goat cheese that was my entree paired with a perfect red primitivo; or my pomegranate salad starter. Absolutely fantastic!!

This was our first visit for over a year, and it did not disappoint. Everything about this venue is like a comfy pair of slippers you enjoy wearing them. From the welcome to the service and then the food and wine this is an evening to enjoy.. The menu does not vary that much over time, and perhaps that is... More

First visit and we absolutely loved it. Service was relaxed and friendly and the restaurant has a cosy atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had the duck terrine and venison ragu to start, followed by roast poussin and sirloin steak. The desserts were a particular highlight. Rhubarb and custard knickerbocker glory and blood orange pannacotta........wow! Such a... More

Three of us visited The Polyn and although we haven't been there for a while we like the new look of the place. The young man who welcomed us was delightful and our waiter was so knowledgeable and helpful and indeed very friendly. The three of us though were disappointed with the menu choice. There was no vegetarian choice in... More

Had a meal in the restaurant last evening. Didn't know the area so went on recommendation. We really liked the inside decor which is a mix of traditional and contemporary. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the food was superb. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Went for lunch in the middle of winter, so managed to get seated without a reservation, but the restaurant was full at the lower level by the time we left. The bread to start was very tasty - the home-made foccacia was very more-rish. I had the aged steak, cooked medium, and it was spot on medium - lovely. The... More

Service was excellent. Food was also very good. I ordered a medium 40-day old dry aged Angus sirloin steak and it was indeed medium. The steak was succulent and tasty, well worth the GBP 19.50.
