Everything is splendid about this restaurant. Firstly when you go in, the superb views, then the pleasant, helpful, friendly staff but above all the wonderful steaks which are cooked to perfection. Vicky was particularly helpful and extremely professional. We will certainly be back soon.

Sadly we will not eat again in WIndrose. Food is good but service and Manager are disappointing (to say the least). Three tables at the window free but we were given a table further back. When I asked could we (my Mother and I) not have one of the vacant tables at the window we were given a table 'in... More

We picked this place for our party venue for our wedding because of the view. But we had a brilliant time start to finish. Organising it with them was soo easy, even with our food requests; gluten free and vegans. Everyone enjoyed the buffet. The staff where great. The girls kept the flower girl happy at the start of the... More

This was a family visit on Sunday lunchtime. The restaurant was busy but we were well served by staff. Food was good and as a veggie I appreciated the options including a massive bowl of broth and and an excellent nut loaf (one of the best I've had). Price for 4 adults was reasonable and wine was good.

I've been to Windrose many times before, but was very disappointed on my last visit. When the meals EVENTUALLY came they were cold. The portion size for the mussels was pathetic and the bread it was served with was very hard. The staff appeared stressed and didn't once come over to ask how everything was. We weren't the only ones... More

Visited tonight with friends. Food was great as usual, but what really stood out was the waitress, I dont know her name but she may have been the manager as she was wearing a blue blouse. She was so friendly without being false, nothing was a bother and she is a credit to the windrose. Really make an impression when... More

This is my local for 3 pints on a Saturday teatime. The barstaff are all very friendly and during the summer you can sit out on the decking and admire the marina and people watch

Visiting N Ireland with my son and daughter we visited friends in Carrickfergus. We had heard so much of this restaurant/bar that we just had to try the place.... it lived up to the hype! Totally stunning location, great menu, excellent service, tasty food, lively atmosphere, and great friends. Thanks Windrose! Stephen and Jackie... x
