First time in ballydougan pottery today. Was along side 6 colleagues little Christmas lunch! Could not rate this place high enough! Food was delicious an I love my food! I had open sausage sandwich on wheaten bread salad an chips! Rest of girls had turkey and ham dinners which they loved!! Chocolate pudding was amazing! Staff member also brought us... More

Recently, my friend and I decided to go to Ballydougan for lunch. I live close by and love the setting, the food is usually good (although the vegetarian options could be better) and the gift shop is enjoyable to look around (but a little pricey). I enjoyed my soup and wheaten bread, however my friend thought her sandwich was pretty... More

Visited here for brunch, which they were unable to serve at 12.15 on a Saturday, incomprehensible in 2016. Staff curt and inflexible, and interestingly a neighbouring establishment could oblige , Id struggle to find a reason to return

Be Very Aware of deposit policy This is a group that is from the 6 counties and we meet twice a year and at our last get together it was suggested that we go to Ballydougan Pottery. We met and we all had really really lovely food which was served quickly . They were not overly busy no spare tables... More

Had a lunch meeting with a colleague in Ballydougan today. As ever it is difficult not to be charmed by the many items on display as you make your way into the restaurant. Greeted by very friendly staff who had a great understanding of the options available on the menu. Soup came recommended and did not disappoint, never thought I... More

Used to visit regularly for lunch last couple of times I have gone I have been disappointed with the standard of food and customer service (food stodgy and poorly microwaved) strawberry cheesecake on display had defiantly seen better days was not asked once how my food was.

I was taken here by a friend who raved about it. We had a light lunch which was beautiful, the surroundings are stunning, the only draw back was that the staff were there in body but not in mind. One lady who looked to be the manager came towards my table and I smiled and said hello and got no... More

Called in to Ballydougan today for a quick lunch. On the positive side, beautiful place, lovely staff etc. Ordered soup which was leek and potato but got half a bowl. Keeping in mind the bowls are of pottery design and small anyway, we left hungry! At £4.90 very expensive. Brown bread was delicious but please, less bread, more soup!

Called in for lunch with wife and daughter. Nice decor with the old stone walls. Not a great choice for vegetarians though. Ordered a salad which was 90% lettuce and 50% overpriced. Waitress who served us was lovely and plenty of interaction with us. Biggest disappointment though was watching a male waiter(might even have been the boss) trying to admonish... More

We visit Ballydougan frequently on visits back from the US. The food is always of a high standard , varied and interesting. Prices are reasonable and the staff always friendly and helpful. Occasionally we also buy some of the excellent pottery which is made and on display there. Based on how busy the restaurant always seems to be we are... More
