Found this gem after looking on tripadvisor. Don't be deceived from the pub exterior as the service and food is closer to an a la carte restaurant. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals (other than myself- I ordered the mushroom risotto and didn't like it, but I'm sure that was more down to personal preference.) The waiter was extremely attentive and... More

We turned up on the off-chance of getting a table and were lucky! The food was excellent and the portions large. As we were cold, we had soup for starters (that day it was leek, mushroom and stilton) followed by the vegetarian tart. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Unfortunately, that day the heating was not working and we were cold... More

We stayed here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and to visit the bath Christmas market and so glad we did. We felt so welcome as soon as we walked in. We were in a fab room and when we got there a nice bunch of flowers were waiting for us. The room was really big with nice bed and spa... More

A nice meal overall but was a little disappointed. I drink Rosé but they only had sweet and I drink dry, so unfortunately had to have a glass of white wine. Food was ok was looking forward to the red cabbage that came with the meal but when it arrived it did not taste how it should be, my partner... More

Excellent restaurant definitely one of our favourites. The food is well presented and delicious. We enjoyed Sunday lunch of Roast beef and Pork belly. The Yorkshires and roast potatoes with fresh vegetables were very good. The dessert we chose was Banana rice pudding with whisky, delicious. This is a privately owned business and attention to detail is clear to see... More
