This restaurant is one of the most consistently good restaurants in Bradford on Avon. My husband doesn't eat meat, and I prefer not to, and this restaurant still leaves you spoilt for choice. We had hake with a lemon risotto, delicious! Pumpkin soup was top...More

The place looks nice and inviting, so we decided to have dinner here. The waiter who seated us, and served us the rest of the evening, was friendly if a bit chaotic. Good choices on the menu, the food was excellent and presented beautifully. On...More

we had a yummy tea and cake stop here, the staff were so friendly and kind - even when my 'little darling,' split her milkshake all over the floor - would definitely recommend - and the best carrot cake I have ever tasted.

The Fat Fowl has an impressive menu with several fish and vegetarian dishes. Definitely not a pub-like atmosphere; more restaurant cafe. Just relaxing with decent food.

We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and I hate eating out. No child this young wants to sit down for that long. Not at this restaurant though...upstairs there is a restaurant for families, half tables and half play area. I...More

We came across this restaurant on a day trip to Bradford on Avon. We looked at the evening menu outside and decided that if the food on there was as tempting on the lunch time menu we were onto a good thing. And we were...More

Had a very nice cup of coffee here - fancied a piece of toast to eat with it as it was mid morning. Two slices of toast with butter and jam cost over £2!!! Outrageous! It doesn't take a maths genius to work out the...More

We found this via 'google' and what a find! Have just returned from a family meal and had a beautiful meal. The children opted to eat from the main menu but there is a comprehensive children's menu. Three of the party had duck which was...More

Based in the original site of Bradford on Avon’s post office, The Fat Fowl has got fine local dining sorted. Featuring rustic wooden tables and chairs, muted colours and an abundance of freshly cut flowers, the Fat Fowl is simple yet smart. The proprietors are passionate about provincial food, sourced locally where possible. Daily fresh fish from Brixham, local West Country cheese, homemade chutneys, freshly baked breads and home made desserts are just some of the wonderful things that keep a steady stream of regulars coming back. If that doesn’t convince you, their chef won Chef of the Year 2008 in Wiltshire Life Initiative. For quality in value in the area, the Fat Fowl delivers.
