... But l love this place. The kind of posh place l hate overcharges for small portions of mediocre food, served on massive plates, like it's some sort of joke, by staff who think they're better than you. You leave feeling hungry and ripped off. Reverse all of the above and you have Hassop Hall. They just get everything right... More

Just decided to break our journey south with an overnight stay at this lovely hotel. Dinner , bed and breakfast was good value , although our standard room was rather on the small side it was cosy, quiet and comfortable. Dinner was excellent and beautifully served with attentive and helpful staff who clearly knew what they were doing. Breakfast was... More

First visit, excellent lunch with very good professional service. Good choice of food on the menu and the bar, dining room and general surroundings are very nice and relaxing. A great place to eat and relax. This visit made additionally enjoyable as the hall was decorated beautifully for Christmas.

Attended for a relatives 70th celebration. Were welcomed by a member of the team who I think is also part of the family who own the hall. Took our coats while effortlessly serving fizz for me and my wife and got soft drinks for the children. Excellent 'white coat' service with canapés and drinks top ups. Great group dining in... More

My friend and I ate here last night and had four courses. It was a stunning experience. The food was amazing, everything had so much flavour and was cooked to perfection. The building is beautiful, the staff are excellent and to be quite honest I can't wait to return!

I recently ate at Hassop Hall as part of a large birthday group. We were all delighted by the food and the staff could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend as a place for a family gathering.

A beautiful location to come for a special occasion. Lovely area to sit and have a drink whilst selecting from the menu. Dining area attractive and the food was good quality and plentiful . Our bottle of wine from an extensive list was excellent and good value. We always enjoy going to Hassop Hall and are made to feel welcome.... More

I have rated Hassop Halls restaurant as very good primarily due to its lovely location, excellent service and old world charm but only as average would be harsh and tripadvisor doesn't have a 'good' rating. We went for Sunday lunch for my parent's anniversary and had to book 3 months ahead to get in as its that popular. It costs... More
