Lovely old building and tea room. Use fairly regularly when in Ripon . We always have lunch chosen from a substantial menu and all food is cooked to order. Home made cakes and pastries are excellent. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff....More

Always make a point of calling in here when visiting Ripon. Still excellent value and old fashioned hospitality. Only thing to mention is that i am sure they no longer use Taylors Yorkshire tea as it was a bit wishy washy and not as nice....More

Well worth stopping here for tea and cake just to experience the atmosphere and history of this wonderful old building. Love the exposed wattle and daub wall. The blackcurrant jam on the fruit scones is not to be missed.

Enjoy a spot of tea or a lovely breakfast or lunch. We had beans and eggs on toast with bacon and sausage. Everything was fresh and tasty. Definitely leaving with some of their yummy scones. Coffees could be stronger but that's a minor quibble.

Called here for lunch on our way to The Yorkshire Dales. The food is always very good and very reasonably priced. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. Always busy so I would suggest reserving a table.
