Busy Sunday lunchtime trade, locals as well as visitors to their area like us. Although initially disappointed that a Sunday roast was not available in fact the monthly specials board delivered all we were looking to find. Morecambe potted shrimps and Harrogate blue cheese with mushrooms both served with crusty bread were fresh and full of flavour. The pork fillet... More

This place can always be relied upon to provide a wide variety of food choice of high quality at reasonable cost; particularly enjoyed the roast pheasant from the Specials Board last Friday lunchtime and as ever service was prompt and attentive; look forward to revisiting and consider it a special treat. Although it is way out in the countryside and... More

Delicious food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere with log fires. Just what we needed after an hours walk in the rain & mirk. The only problem was that we had to leave to go home!

Up north again and called in at the Galphay Inn for Sunday lunch. They are doing individual roasts and I had a lovely piece of beef cooked pink served with good roast potatoes, freshly cooked vegetables and a good size Yorkshire pudding. A jug of onion gravy was also offered. So different from the usual tired Sunday lunch! Other individual... More

We enjoyed a lovely evening by the fire in this cosy pub. Staff incredibly helpful and polite and attentive. The food was delicious, we ended up having 3 courses despite planning to have 2!!! Very tasty, very cosy.... hidden gem but totally worth it!! Would definitely return!!

We had been lost and afraid that we wouldn't eat today. However, we found the Galphay Inn and were made very welcome. The afternoon was getting on, so we ordered quickly and the service was efficient. The service was attentive and the food was good. Really lucky and very satisfied. A good find!

We stayed in a nearby cottage, there were a number of good comments, about The Galphay Inn, in the visitors book so we decided to give it a try. We hadn't booked but they moved a couple of tables around to fit us in. There was a good selection on the menu and specials board. Four of us had different... More

This is the third time my husband and I have been to the Galphay Inn in recent months and our experience this evening was as good as the previous visits. The pub is fairly small and typical in character of the Yorkshire Dales, being stone-built and set in a picturesque village. Last time, we sat outside in the sunshine with... More

Our starters were exceptional both delicious and... More
