We arrived at the Tuckers Arms last week and were enchanted by the exterior - a really attractive old thatched pub. We opened the door and - wonderful, old slate floors, roaring log fires and nice looking tables on the left and on the right with a normal Bar in between. We went to the Bar area and were told... Second visit and once again another fantastic Sunday lunch for the entire group. Book early and allow time for a pleasant country drive.

Had another faultless meal last night - perfect steak melt in the mouth 😊 (I'm mainly a non meat eater but a steak here is a once in a while treat that I can not pass!) I must also mention the homemade Bakewell Tart, two of us had this after really not being sure what to have and it was... More

My husband, son and I went for an evening meal yesterday (17th Feb) at The Tuckers Arms. I had read many great reviews about it and looked forward to an enjoyable evening. When we walked in we were greeted promptly by one of the waitresses and seated at our table. The whole restaurant appeared to be full, but this did... More

We turned up at a nearby pub on a Monday night ... but they weren't doing food ... so they recommended the Tuckers Arms. We lucked in! Starters were spectacular and mains were great. I had the venison terrine starter ... wonderful. My wife had a great paella starter that would have been a fine main. Her veggie main was... More

Called here in January. The menu is large and the range should suit all tastes. The meals we had were the best we have had outside of very upmarket restaurants. The range of drinks is reasonable. It is important to book as the Tuckers Arms is very busy so don't plan on just dropping in. Use your Sat nav to... More

5 adult family members visited for a 70th birthday dinner, following recommendations at Hawley Farm. Pleased to say we had a great meal, each of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and the log fire and will definately be returning (even though we're not local)! Thanks for a fab evening!!

Found this charming village pub in the Good Pub Guide, a little off the beaten track through some single lane roads and turned up on a Bank Holiday with no reservation or indeed knowing if they were open or serving food. It is a great place, full of locals sitting down to lunch, we were welcomed at the bar, given... More

I went here for a Sunday lunch and what a find this was. I had one of the best roasts I have ever had. The service was very good and the food was amazing. I will certainly be going back and I would recommend this place to anyone. There was also a very good selection of local real ales,

We ate here recently and while everybody else was pleased with their choice I was not .There was vegetable curry on offer .On asking the other choices I was told vegetarian sausages or beetroot and squash burger .I thought the burger sounded interesting but it was obviously bought in and was tasteless. The specials board was all fish ,which I... More
