We met friends for a pre theatre meal (the Quay Theatre is just round the corner) and enjoyed the excellent food and the friendly atmosphere.

Had a very disappointing Sunday lunch today. Yorkshire pudding was stale , 'crispy roasts' were soggy potatoes and the veg was clearly shop bought frozen. All totally unseasoned and tasteless.

Very sorry to hear this. I can assure you that our Yorkshire puddings are freshly cooked on the day and we never buy in frozen vegetables. Can I ask why you didn't say anything when you would have been asked if everything was ok?

Went recently to enjoy the beer garden. Not good. Full ashtrays, bird mess on seats, some of which were ripped! An utter mess. So much potential but . . . .

Very disgusted with the prices of this restaurant. Everything tastes shop brought. Picture below shows the prosecco the Angel is selling for £23.50 a bottle which is now in Tesco selling for £5 a bottle! What an absolute joke! I have seen the way they...More

I can assure you that our food is not shop brought, as for pricing, most of our starters are around £5 & our mains around £12. Our staff are treated with the utmost respect and have never had any complaints from them at all

My grand dads brother used to play with Ipswich town FC ( 1895-1907 approx.) I believe he was the landlord at the Angel at one time. Could anyone confirm this Thanks.
