Called in with my son on a very blustery day. Welcoming fires and wholesome soup. Perfect. Must go back for a slower lazier meal ⭐️

Visiting friends who live locally and they booked us all into the pub for evening meal. Fantastic place, great location and on entering the door everyone was very friendly and enthusiastic. Very good service, food very well cooked, tasty, presented and price on menu for all choices is very well priced. Would very much recommend attending for a meal or... More

On a quiet weekday lunchtime it took well over an hour and a half to be served. The staff were pleasant but we won't come back. Really unimpressed.

Booked for a 2pm Sunday lunch, on arrival the bar staff had no idea where our table was and finally waved us to the bottom of the pub. On finding our table we were pleased to be next to the fire as it wasn't very warm. However no one attended the fire and it went out. On looking at the... More

This used to be one of my favourite places to eat in the area. In 2015 I reviewed it very positively. We used to eat here a lot but in the last few months we had heard some less than glowing reports from friends and family so we hadn't been for some time. However recently we decided to give it... Went here last Sunday and had one of the best Sunday roasts, ( away from home), for a long while. There were 4 of us, my parents and myself and my partner. Nothing was to much trouble. My partner is gluten free and due to the nature of their preparation she could have most of the menu. The size of... More

Shame it took so long to arrive, but lovely atmosphere and great food Toilets let it down, cold and no hot water to wash your hands in, painful for those with arthritis. Couldn't find the light switch went to the loo in the dark not great if you have a bowel condition, toilet roll holder broken off. Really needs improving... More

Found this little gem by accident and was greeted warmly by Mick the landlord. The interior is a proper pub with two bars great ciders and beers and a tasty menu. We will definitely be returning

We stayed at in the 'Hobbit House' at The White Horse for Bonfire night. The staff were extremely welcoming and the bonfire/firework display were phenomenal. The cider festival was fantastic - with flavours for every pallet. In the kitchen was the hardest working chef I'd every seen making sure the bonfire night food and Sunday lunch food were 5* regardless... More

An excellent meal. We were a group of 13 and all the meals were served together and everyone was very happy with their food. The portions were quite large, cooked really well and all in all very good value. I had trout and it was superb. Desserts were excellent too and the cheeseboard was huge! The beer drinkers in the... This traditional Suffolk pub is situated on the edge of Constable Country on a minor road in the small village of Edwardstone, Suffolk. We have featured in the 'Good Beer Guide' for getting on for 20 years, and also appear in the 'Good Pub Guide'. A winner of CAMRA's 'Pub of the Month', Silver Awarded for 'Green Tourism' for our Self Catering chalets, and well known for having the world's most eco-friendly micro-brewery on-site.
