Have been here before but I've got to say today was pretty good. The views as always are spectacular. We were blessed with good weather and although busy staff managed to find us a table. The venue is very cosy but a little claustrophobic when full. The plates are huge and very satisfying. The chips are home made and delicious.... More

One of the very best pubs I've visited for Sunday lunch. A lamb dinner, with all the trimmings, and a glass of red wine, for £11.25. The setting is magnificent, and the views over the Staffordshire countryside would be wonderful on the dry day, it was raining when I visited, but the interior is clean, warm and cosy, the service... This will give us away - there were 11 of us! 7 were staying at the Lodges down the road and inquired of The Raddle if they could cater for 11 on Sunday. Despite a major family birthday in the other rooms (45+ persons) they said they'd cope! Cope they did - varied and brilliant food - great portions -... More

Really good food at a great price but don't hang around or you won't get a place. Not particularly that easy to find, the approach consists of a choice of two winding, somewhat precarious narrow roads at the end of which a stiff drink really is the order of the day..... thankfully however, once there safe and sound...all is well.... The food here is to die for- but be prepared to feel like you need to undo your top button of your trousers. These portions are belly busters to say the least. But worth every mouth full. Good home cooked food, lovely log burners, lovely beer and fab service. Highly recommend here!!

Hi, we went here to see what it was like as we have been invited to go here for a birthday party next week. Fantastic views, 2 car parks they also have log cabins and cottages to stay in. Be very hungry when eating here as the servings are huge! Child portions are enough I would say. Food quality is... More

We try to visit once a month. If homemade food, friendly staff and an amazing view is your thing then this is the place for you. The best thing about this place is there is a little room to the side that allows dogs whilst you eat. We find this such a treat as we struggle to find decent dog... More

Went for lunch and chose from the Pensioners menu. Quite extensive, 3 courses for £9. 50. The first course was very nice. Breaded mushrooms with salad and a dip - 4 mushrooms with a nice salad but would have preferred a couple more. Having said that it was fine. My husband had carrot and swede soup, homemade and tasty, with... More

We went as a big group. Food was average, nothing to complain about but very standard. The place is dated and feels like it needs some attention. The waitresses were very nice but were dressed inappropriately. They had the shortest skirts I've ever seen and were generally quite scruffy. I won't be going back.
