Oh dear!!! My favourite restaurant in the world has gone! The food selection was vast now it's gone predictable and boring. Salmon was the only fish dish! The quality has disappeared from top of the class to dunce. Most disappointing was the service. The starters didn't take too long but the mains were forever coming. When we finished the mains... Passing through Kenmare and took a chance on this bar/restaurant for an early evening meal and got in without a reservation. Had a super meal for two with great service. Highly recommended the steak with a glass of the Rioja wine - perfect. All at a reasonable price. Could not fault it and will be back again.

Really really nice meal. Proper authentic home-cooked food with fresh, tasty ingredients. The mini soda breads served still warm on a small wooden board were criminally delicious! We had steak, lamb and beef burgers, chicken goujons.....every dish a delight!

Stopped here to listen to live music and enjoy a good cider. The live music was traditional Irish music and was intermittent, but lovely. Bartenders were friendly. The place seemed popular with the locals as we saw many of the hotel staff here. Very warm atmosphere. Seems like a nice place for dinner too.

This restaurant had a nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. However, my burger was singularly tasteless and disappointing and I only chose the burger because the menu was so limited. The waitress didn't mention any specials being available, so it was doubly disappointing to walk out of the restaurant to see a board (which I hadn't seen going in) advertising a... More

Was here last week and had an amazing evening with my boyfriend and my mother. I had bouillabaisse as a starter, the chef was nice enough to do a small portion for me as its supposed to be a main course. Full of seafood, and served with ciabatta with a saffron mayo. My partner had the duck confit starter which... More

I had to practically beg to be shown to a table. I'd walked eighteen miles and arrived in boots and a pack. I was finally taken to a table in the far back, nearest the toilets. There I sat for twenty minutes as wait staff walked past, but never acknowledged my presence. I finally walked out and went to The... More

Hi there, I was very sorry to read your review and have spoken to my staff about the incident - none of whom can exactly place the night in question unfortunately so I can only comment on generalities. I can assure you all my staff have been trained to a very high level and, as you can see from other... More

This restaurant smells amazing when you first walk in. Though the restaurant is small the atmosphere is relaxing. I can say I had the best steak ever at The Horseshoe

The Horseshoe looks like a pub & I was looking to enjoy a nice meal. We stumbled upon the horseshoe at 4pm in the afternoon where we said we would have a drink to decide on where to eat. They had a great selection of craft beers & a cosy bar. We decided after looking at the menu to give... More

We went there for a dinner with 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). Service was very friendly and child friendly. Food was superb, no complaints at all from anyone. Their crab claw & prawns starter was fabulous. Fillet steak was gorgeous. Constant stream of people trying to get a table but they were booked up - a good sign!. .... More
