Local cuisine, influenced by the finesse of European cookery but rooted in Irish traditions, our take on food is based in the belief that everyone should be afforded the opportunity to experience foods grown, raised, caught, and foraged by their neighbours transformed, by adept hands, into a cuisine of international repute. That’s what we mean by Modern Irish. Trevis Gleason
MICHELIN Guide: Good cooking
Proving to be one of the most aptly named restaurants in Ireland, the menu here showcases fine produce from the surrounding fields and nearby waters. The kitchen team take advantage of Kerry meats and wonderfully fresh fish and shellfish with dishes that have a strong classical base and demonstrate a good understanding of flavour. Charming service enhances the overall experience.

Ate here with family (table for 5) two night's in succession, such was the reception and applause for our first night's supper. Land to Sea has a Bib Michelin which is usually the most desireable accolade the casual foodie could look toward for absolute confidence that you will be in good hands for your evening. The food here is focused, local, fresh and delicious - and all about the food and less about being too fussy, without losing inventiveness. It's not just pretty on the eye, it's hearty and tasty on the tongue. Prices are very fair given the sheer quality of the food and cooking, and a special hat doffed to the wine menu that offers two excellent Spanish Ribero red and white by glass, carafe and bottle - without an insane mark up. The kitchen clearly runs like clockwork. So if you are ordering an apéro, you might want to wait 10 minutes before ordering - as the food will be at your place fairly smartly. The staff are well on top of their game, efficient, the correct side of friendly and it's all seemless. We had the most amazing choice of fresh spider crab & cured monkfish, starters. The hake and pork main courses were soft and cooked to perfection. We booked a consecutive night based on our first sitting, it was that good. Lastly, I'm indebted to the staff for finding my travel bag and helping getting it back to me safely. Land To Sea, Dingle - It may be the best ticket in town.

This was our first time dining at Land To Sea and it's easy to see why it gets such great reviews. We had made reservations for our group of eight adults and we were welcomed immediately. Took advantage of their Early Bird Menu and the selection and presentation were superb! The food was amazing as was the staff. Highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Thoughtfully prepared dishes and kind, attentive staff. Food approaching Michelin status but not quite. Asked for our steak to be prepared blue and it was medium and tough, but very flavorful. Appetizers and deserts were lovely.

Not what I would expect from a Michelin Star Restaurant and we have eaten at many of them around the world.
Very disappointing experience whilst dining here last night and I am writing this so the owner knows what's happening whilst they are not there.
Not the warmest of welcomes from the waitresses - training on how to smile and greet guests would not go a miss.
Seated at a table that unfortunately is right next to a bouncy part of the floor so every time anyone walked on it you felt like you were sat on the side of a trampoline - as this table is in the main walkway this happened every 20 seconds with three waitresses / waiters walking back and forth.
We waited 15 minutes before anyone came to the table to take the food order - had not been asked for drink order or given any water at this stage.
The table next to us arrived about 10 minutes after us and their orders was taken and bread bought to the table.
A table cleared in another location in restaurant so I asked politely if we could possibly move there (because of the constant bouncing from the floor) - the waitress looked and treated us as if we were a complete inconvenience and told us 'only if the next person does not turn up early' Very odd response we felt
After 5 minutes we were moved to the other location
35 minutes after arrival our starter came (the other table who arrived after us had already had their starters by this stage and we only ordered soup)
The food was nice but would say it will not be a memorable meal (cauliflower dish had a very strange tasting deep fried part to is which I left as was not nice at all). Husband had the Hake and enjoyed the meal.
Butter to hard you can not spread it on the bread
People being served coke from cans - so cans of coke are sat on tables
Napkins are cheap and throwaway
No table linen
The music was 70's / 80's funk / disco tunes - defiantly not a Michelin Star ambiance
As another review has said it felt more like a cafe / canteen feel rather than fine dining - which I completely agree with this description.
As a last note referring to a point above when waitress advised we could only move if the other diners don't arrive early - NO ONE ever arrived, there were three empty tables around us so asking to move should not have been an issue at all.
We are off to Adare Manor this evening which is also a 1 Star Michelin Restaurant and can only hope this will be a completely different experience and one conducive with the Michelin Guide high standards.

3 out of 4 of us ordered steaks. They were so hard that you could not even cut with a knife. They were hard as a brick. Extremely disappointed as it was a special father's celebration too. I asked the server to have the manager come over and once we discussed with him, I requested we not be charged for them as they were inedible. Not sure how they have any association with Michelin. I have never written a review for hundreds of restaurant experiences we have had but don't want anyone to waste their money.

We ordered the crab claws and fried oysters for appetizer, and the cod/crab and lamb for our mains. The food quality was great, locally sourced, and beautifully presented. Sadly, all three dishes, except the oysters, were overwhelmed by a strange flavor combination of sauces that ruined, not complemented, the food. The cod itself was tasteless, served on a bed of watery spinach, with a creamy sauce. The crab claws had great potential but were ruined by an over-powering sauce. The moose & ice cream dessert was excellent and stood up to the Michelin star dish title! The atmosphere was okay, our serve was attentive but the experience felt a bit transactional and rushed to turn over the table.

I think this restaurant and all of Dingle is overpriced. What you get here is far from value and more a rip off. €38 for 2 small pieces of lamb and a few chips is preying on the tourist. My monkfish starter was so thin I had to scrape it off the plate. I asked for ice cream, there was none.

All of the other reviewers who awarded this restaurant five stars were right. This small gem of a first class star is immaculate, well designed and laid out, and totally spotless. The menu was filled with classically prepared dishes and the rack of lamb as well as the delicious steak we had prepared for us were world class. The staff was very well trained, friendly, and right on time. The crowning joy of the whole evening was when the bill came it was about 1/2 or even 1/3 with the same meal would be in larger tourist locations around the world. A great spot!

What a great dining experience. We were originally going to another place but they were closed for a private function so we were disappointed but then came across this place a few steps away and what a happy accident this was! We were seated right away by the window by a lovely & knowledgeable french server and once we looked at the menu, we knew we were in for something special and were not disappointed. The soup of the day was green pea with cream, and the second courses we had were the local pork loin and the beefsteak. Incredible sauces, unique and perfectly cooked local sides to say nothing of the tenderness of the local meat. Absolute perfection along with a great wine list….so glad the other place was closed ;0)

Made reservations for Land to Sea after seeing wonderful reviews and was looking forward to the fresh farm (or sea) to table experience. Overall it was good, with some tasty dishes and service was nice. Ambiance inside is beautiful and tastefully done. The Dingle crab salad was incredible - a true highlight of the entire trip. I also got the tomato salad special, and the goat cheese, tomatoes and pine nuts were fresh and delicious. The hake dish was very good and the champagne sauce really made the dish! The biggest disappointment was the lobster bisque- there was not one chunk or even a speck of lobster meat in it. It was very bland and thin, tasted almost like thin tomato soup. The other thing was we had to ask several times for water when the water pitcher on the table just sat there empty. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back or recommend this place!

We were a party of 5, went here on recommendation from our accommodation [Dingle garden townhouse, also excellent]. We got the early menu [5 - 6.30, €37, great value] and there was plenty of choice. All meals excellent, notably the vegetarian option [so often a weak point in other places] of polenta with salad and beetroot was full of flavour. Service was meticulous, friendly, and efficient. The lovely wines and coffees were extra, worked out €60 per head including service. The best meal we had in Dingle. A mention for Muiris Dan's pub across the road, an excellent and friendly convening point.

We are so delighted that the hosts at our B&B recommended Land to Sea! One of our best meals this entire year and a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary.
We were tempted by the tasting menu but ultimately decided to enjoy four of the starters: monkfish carpaccio, squid, goat cheese croquettes, and duck pate. Each were individually amazing - together, it was a taste sensation. To end the meal, the honey/whiskey mousse and strawberries with peppercorn meringue were just the right finish.
The service was of equal quality to the food. Nikki was warm and welcoming. Simply sad we live too far away to return anytime soon.

Chose the early dining menu and we were not disappointed.
The starters were duck pate and squid on couscous (both very good) main courses were pork with crackling and the cod (again perfectly cooked and presented) desserts were perfect, strawberry/meringue and honey comb mouse, both very tasty.
This restaurant ticked all the boxes, great food, service, wine at a fair price for the quality.

We got the lamb and the scallops. The scallops was tasty but lukewarm.. there was 6 pieces with some pea purée on the plate.
The lamb was delicious there was 3 cutlets again with 2 types of purée on the plate.
We got one small portion of baby potatoes on the side between 2 of us.
Both meals were €32/34 each and 2 glasses of Pinot brought the bill to €84. The problem I have here is we came out hungry and had to go into the pub next door for chicken wings to actually fill ourselves up.
Nobody came to the table to ask us if we had enough of everything and the table behind us got a portion of what looked like green beans with their potatoes also. One miserable portion of potatoes for 2 adults is not good enough.
We understand good food nowadays has a cost. But for €64/66 for 2 of us (for the food part) to come out hungry is the epitome of the joke of a country this place has become. Go here for the taste but don’t go on an empty stomach unless you’re going to have 3 courses each!
Won’t be going back

Words are short of explaining how outstanding this location is. But also the friendly atmosphere, small town feeling and unreal mouthwatering food at this Location Land to Sea. Being a Canadian and Costarican fisherman, their seafood is absolutely out of this world.
