This is a great little joint with yummy ice cream. They cater to coeliacs in that they completely understand cross contamination and get fresh ice cream for customers. Delighted to have gone here and staff very friendly

Murphy's of Dingle is famous for its ice cream and has two outlets in Dingle just a short walk apart. In between the two sits Kool Scoops. The owner is usually there dishing out ice cream. We stop in numerous times on our annual four week visit to Dingle. The ice cream is outstanding. My wife adores the honeycomb variety and I like the pistachio, but all the flavors are spot on. It's hard to walk by without stopping in.

Rum and Raisin, amazing. Much better flavour and prices than another popular ice cream shop in Dingle, family owned and had a nice vibe to it, 2.80 for a 1 scoop cone, throughout the weekend I had 5 ice creams - Rum & Raisin topped them all, Irish cream was great as was the strawberry. Really nice and would recommend to any people stopping by Dingle.

I gave this place a good review pre-Covid, but today’s experience was so different. The product is the same reasonably high quality ice cream and the service is as slow as ever, but the whole experience is ruined with blatant price gouging. This is another business pricing itself and the location of Dingle as a holiday destination out of existence. Avoid this place if you are travelling with kids.

The ice cream was delicious but it needs a seating area as it got very crowded and the following day we sat inside Murphy's directly across the road .
If it had seats and tables , like Jesk of Kinsale or Clonakilty Homemade Ice Cream or Murphy's it could be a potential GOLD MINE . He's losing business to Murphy's ice cream , and it's a pity .
An 'Ice cream cafe' with seats and tables always seems to make good money winter and summer to locals and tourists alike , serving hot cakes , coffees , teas , ice cream etc. etc.
Please consider expanding into an Ice Cream Cafe , you won't regret it , and my family and I will forever be loyal customers !!
The location is PERFECT but too small .

Best ice-cream in Dingle! We love the plain whipped ice cream that comes out from the machine so much we went back within the same day! Much better than the Gelato style ones, made with thick pure Irish milk and cream, what real ice cream should be!

This is one of the few places in the area which sells scoop icecream - what we consider to be real icecream. So we were excited when we found this place and were not disappointed. They offer a good range of flavours and sprinkle toppings. Decent price. Very pleasant although a little too sweet for me.

We went in just before closing, the owner could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. Stayed chatting with him for ten minutes and we definitely will be back tomorrow to see him again. Shop is set up so safely and the ice cream was just so tasty, and a unbelievable selection not to mention the variety of toppings. Favourite Dingle experience to date

I tried their pistachio ice cream and found it to be full of nuts and delicious. I believe that I preferred this to "Murphy's" as I thought this to be more flavorful. It's kind of an unfair comparison though as I ordered different flavors at "Murphy's." I should have gone back to both places for seconds!!! :)

I consider myself to be an ice cream expert, and I can say without a doubt Kool Scoops has the best ice cream in the country! John, the owner is a gem. We had Kool Scoops every night we were in Dingle. The last night he had already closed, but saw us sadly peeking through the window and opened up just for us. Didn’t have a chance to try the competitor, because I was addicted to the honeycomb flavor he offers. Definitely check it out if you’re in county Kerry!

My visit to Kool Scoops was certainly one of the highlights of my visit to Dingle. This small shop has a brilliant atmosphere and something for everyone in the family. The owner is friendly and engaging and most importantly the ice cream was delicious! I would recommend this shop to anyone going to Dingle.

Sorry to all other places serving ice cream in Dingle but Kool Scopes is THE place to go for ice cream and for coffee. Terrific flavors at very reasonable prices and the coffee and lattes are top notch! Treat yourself, you will nor be disappointed.

We stopped in daily when we were in Dingle for 3 days. Fantastic! Very creamy and flavorful. I chose a double chocolate scoop and an Irish cream scoop if I remember correctly. It was so good I couldn't convince myself to try anything else! Highly recommend!

We have been going here for the past 8 years. Its the one place the kids really look forward to visiting. The owner is such a friendly man & very chatty with the customers. The ice cream & sorbets are incredible. Plenty to choose from & very reasonably priced in comparison to other local ice cream shops. See you next yr.

My kids loved this ice-cream parlour and the multiplied of toppings. It not cheap but it isn’t as expensive as Murphy’s which helps when you are getting a family ice creams. Also great friendly service. Highly recommend!
