A real gem - slightly old fashioned bakery and café which serves fantastic light meals and puddings to die for!

First off: food - great selection of food, including fanastic cakes and desserts. I have been here many times. The service is terrible though. You are kept waiting before menus are handed out and even longer before your order is taken. It is constant. My last vist will be my last. Waitresses seemed to find it more important to have... Owner bakes herself. Busy cafe with a lot of lunch regulars fills up fast.p!enty of choices . love the deserts .you can relax and watch the street life .open all day.

found this place while looking for place to hide from the rain and what a find. companion got lasagne which tasted exactly like lasagne should. there are too many bog standard lasagna's doing the round these days. I got the crab and grapefruit salad which was little pricey but tasty and could have been bigger. the desserts here are all... More

Nice Chicken Sandwich's and good selection of deserts, usually stop off here on my trip west. Small but usually get a table.

Wandered into this high street cafe after a long journey, very tired and hungry. Lots of locals eating so a good sign. Ordered chowder to start then fishcakes. Chowder was exceptional, possibly the best ever and the soda bread with it was so tasty. Half a carafe of pinot grigio and fishcakes to die for. They melted in my mouth... More
