A superb night at The Black Pig! Everything was done with care and charm to deliver an excellent experience. The setting is warm, cosy and inviting. We were in the enclosed garden, kept toasty by a heater. The menu is eclectic and made for sharing....More

This is a gorgeous little place, fabulously decorated with really nice staff! We were there last night and all we could book was a table in their back yard which was beautiful! It was a very wet evening and we asked if we could move...More

Absolutely fantastic joint. The Black Pig is nestled behind the imposing Actons Hotel, in central Kinsale. The small, intimate yet lively establishment has a rustic, homely feel to it and boasts one of the most comprehensive and well-thought out wine lists ive encountered. The menu...More

We had heard a lot about the Black Pig and we were dying to try it. We got seats at the bar which we didn't mind at all. The reed wine we ordered was okay and was served in white wine glasses (a pet hate...More

I know eating out is expensive in Ireland but mark-up here must be quite high. The food and the choices of drinks were superb but so over-priced. For instance the prawn dish. Tasted lovely but 10 small prawns bathing in a tasty broth - €13....More

The food, the wine, the service, the ambiance were all exceptional! Sat outside under heat lamps with blankets provided and sipped different excellent wines with various delicious tapas. Couldn't have been more perfect. Would go back there again and again if I had the chance.

Great wine list by the glass. Interesting food but second to drink. Waitress surprised when we said wine corked although she did, suspiciously, sniff the glass when pouring. Interesting night, worth the trip.

We were running late for our table but the staff didn't rush us. The food was fresh and local and full of flavor. I loved the atmosphere and chocolate mousse. I spotted one of my hero's eating across from me which obviously made my day....More

We booked in advance the first time, and got there at opening time the second trip. The second time, the place was booked solid (weekend, early May), but the seats at the bar are first-come-first-served.
How do I make a dinner reservation for your restaurant, and how far in advance should I make it ?
