First off, The White House pub entrance is GREEN! Don't go looking for a white front to cue you that you have arrived. We were searching during the gloaming hour, in the rain, and sort of hunched under an umbrella. So you'll understand why we walked past it, twice. The pub is CHARMING, all caps. The restaurant is mid-century chic,... More

Loved the White House! I had the mussels and my husband had the fish n chips. We were both so happy! I also got a dessert that had a sort of butterscotch sauce that was poured over a chocolate cake. (Or something like it.) AMAZING! Drooling just thinking about that dinner. Wonderful table service, very friendly people work there.

We were visiting Ireland on a missionary trip and decided to eat at The White House. The food was exceptional and the restaurant was very clean, and the manager friendly. I would recommend to anyone who wants a good "home cooked" meal with friendliness as an addition.

This is one of my go to places when colleagues are in the Cork area. The food is always excellent and the service is always top notch.

We had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but unfortunately, the food was lack luster. The service was amazing though. I wish I would have never experienced the seafood cakes that was listed number one on this menu.

Dropped in for food on st Patrick's day - even though place was jammed, waitress found us a table quickly. Food menu had plenty of choice, with different menus to choose from. We had monkfish scampi which was a good sized portion and the fish was cooked perfectly. Also had the seafood pancake parcel which was absolutely packed with fresh... More

We called in for a pint the first night we were in Kinsale and the barman clocked we had just got engaged and brought over a complimentary apple pie. We went in for food the following night and the food is excellent, fantastic atmosphere and just what you expected from a traditional Irish pub. Many thanks again to the barman... More

Trying to show a tourist friend a good time we tried entering this place in the search for seafood. The mussels in wine sauce got the nod from a serious foodie, the Murphys was good and the staff were very helpful. Thumbs up!

We chose to stay in The White House because we only had one night in Kinsale and its location in the town centre was ideal. In the evening, we had a superb dinner of sea trout and mussels with drinks in the bar. We also had breakfast the next day. I can't fault the White House for anything..... Food, room... More
