Great beer selection as well as fantastic classic Irish dishes. Met some friendly local folks and enjoyed the outdoor beer garden as well as the match in the bar. All in all a lively pub in quaint Adare!

A beautiful and atmospheric place to drink a pint in, with an antique looking bar and tables. A nice beer garden too. Highly recommended.

We went here for a drink having been recommended this bar. My husband described his pint of Guinness as very poor. This is a bar to go to if you want to watch sport and don’t want to drink Guinness.

Friendly people, delicious fish and chips and ham pannini. Great service and excellent price. The Guinness was delicious and a great way to end the day. Be sure and visit their sister pub, Aunty Lena’s too for live Irish music.

A good pub with good food but had the misfortune of being served by an obnoxious barman - a young fella with short red hair. The lady who brought the food was really good. But unfortunately no tip given due to barman. Otherwise the rating...More

We had some great Irish beer and whiskey here. There was a band playing music impromptu when we arrived. Seemed very authentic and charming. I would definitely recommend it!

Sorry we were only passing through one afternoon. Maybe email the bar? They were very helpful. Good luck.

Please check with the actual pub. Each pub in town has music on a different evening.

Description
Established in 1846 Bill Chawke's Bar, located in the heart of Adare Village, Co. Limerick is a fine traditional bar with a great reputation for providing some of the best hospitality around. Our recently refurbished bar is an excellent place to watch our local Adare GAA heroes and all the other major sporting events live on our LCD High Definition TVs. Our live weekly traditional music sessions are famous and bring a wealth of musicians and music lovers through our doors. Our kitchen serves delicious traditional fare every day and customers keep coming back to us for a bite to eat or simply relax with a pint or glass of their favourite tipple. We have a truly superior beer garden which is the envy of every pub in the county; we just wish we could 'serve up' good weather for our customers to relax in it on those soft Irish summer days and not need one of our waterproof parasols. Our beer garden also has state of the art BBQ facilities and is a favourite with locals and visitors who like to dine and entertain al fresco whatever the occasion. Good quality service, delicious food and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is what we are all about and we think we deliver, in spades! Awarded the Prestigious Licensing World Country Bar of the Year 2010!
