Lovely Coffee shop, great coffee and very accommodating staff. We were staying in the self-catering apartments at the Station House Hotel, and habitually headed to steam for coffee and a scone before setting off for the day.

Stopped here before doing a mooch around Clifden. What a find. Coffee was superb - the Mocha was perfect! I wished I'd ordered a large instead of a regular ;-p

The old Station that served as the terminus for the Galway to Clifden railway now offers a pleasant range of shops, the Station Hotel and a bar as well as the two storey Steam restaurant. We stopped by on a quiet Friday afternoon after cycling the wonderful Sky Cycle route for a lunchtime snack and chose to sit outside (jackets... More

On a sunny day there is nothing better than sitting outside this coffee shop drinking coffee and eating their really good cakes. Inside it is a bit dark - but sitting outside on the old platform is lovely

Been coming here for a couple of years whenever I'm in Clifden. The food is great and not expensive, the rooms are light and the tables well spaced. The staff both behind the counter and out front are always welcoming and the service is great considering that the place is always busy. Not on the main drag but back of... More

There is an art to making excellent coffee whether full of caffeine or de-caf... and Allan definitely know how to make it amazing. The meringue is delicious and home made, the owners are welcoming and attentive. I wont have a coffee from anywhere else, unless I'm making it at home... a must if visiting Clifden and if you live in... More

We visited here recently for lunch. The coffee was very good sand the food very tasty - three salads (one with chicken and two with smoked salmon) and a delicious duck wrap with cashew nuts. The menu offered quality choice and the food was very good. We did find it a bit pricey, but, that said, it was worth it... More
