I walked on past the quay in Clifden to the mouth of the bay where the boardwalk cafe sits at the sailing club. It's a very nice spot with a good menu for lunch. I had a smoked salmon and watermelon salad which was delicious. A pleasant place to while away a little time. And it looks like there's an... More

We came across the sign for the boardwalk cafe when we were looking for the castle. So happy we did! What a great location, very unassuming from the outside but inside, such a chilled out spot. The food was delicious and we loved the view and the outdoor area. Great music, atmosphere...will definitely be back!! Thanks Simon :)

What an astounding view from this pub! Lots to choose from .....pizza, burgers, wraps ..all at reasonable prices. The woman behind the bar was friendly and helpful..... One of the only eating places that stays open all year in Clifden. I'd certainly stop in again .....now,that I found it.

We came upon this after going to see the Clifden Castle. Nice place. Different. You have to go upstairs to the restaurant part. There were some tables and couches (to hear any live music) and a dog to accompany the dining experience. Great fresh food too. Not a huge menu, so it's easy to decide and the food selections are... Amazing owners. Amazing view and location. I just think they should provide more food available and open earlier specially in the weekend.

Exceptional staff, and lovely cafe rammed full of instruments... local musicians jammed Trad Irish music as we supped our cold beers taking in the view. Later on we had an amazing curry too. Will definitely back...

At the end of Beach Road, this venue has a stunning viewpoint. Head up the stairs to fund a cozy smallish bar and cafe overlooking Clifden Bay! Our meal was well prepared and the host is a delight. This is a high recommend - take the extra few minutes to drive out of Clifden to the end of the road.

Spotted a sign for this cafe as we were wandering out of Clifden - unsure if it would be open we made the 20 ish minute walk along the coast to find it. Glad we had when we walked into a really welcoming cafe/restaurant. We shared the chilli cheese quesadillas which were delicious. Sat outside in the sunshine and met... More
