We visited The Bianconi on Saturday evening (booked in advance). Welcoming and friendly waiter Andrew was looking after us during the dinner. He was very polite and made us feel super comfortable.
The crispy half duck I had was incredible as well as the steak my husband got. We also ordered a bottle of tasty Merlot and the final bill was very reasonable. The place was following covid-19 restrictions, the tables were set up in a distance to each other which gave us additional privacy.
Well recommended!

Generous sized rooms and a relaxing few nights stay. Breakfast was very good with a generous continental, hot food cooked fresh to order by menu style, and no problems accommodating small changes if requested. No daily housekeeping turnover - which didn't bother us in the slightest but may to some others. Fresh towels or bathroom "necessities" available as requested from staff with no issues.
Had dinner one night and the mussels were delicious, although for our second main we ordered the "mixed meat and fish surprise" and would probably pass on it the next time (everything was cold and it huge array of different parts that slightly felt like it was a plate of leftovers- sorry). But from looking at other diners foods they did all look very nice.
But all in all very reasonably priced for what The Bianconi offers, we'll be back.

we were a group of seven , five of whom , were staying in Bianconi as guests , we ate on a Monday evening just after Puck Fair. If the staff were tired they didnt show it, courteous and prompt, the food was obviously so fresh and well presented , that if hotel quality and great portions , none of us could finish them , but it wasnt for the want of trying. Great price point , we had fish and chips, homemade tartar sauce great veg, The Burger was a masterpiece and tasted like steak beautiful and that can rarely be said about the humble burger . The mussels fab too, great restaurant but make a booking was busy even on a monday night. keep up the great work Fenton/Knight families

We visited on a dismal rainy day in early February for lunch, and the place was busy despite the time of year and weather. The menu had some imaginative options and was very reasonably priced. I had a delicious Lebanese Halloumi and sweet potato wrap and my husband had what he said was a very good Cajun chicken sandwich in proper (hand sliced bread). Service was friendly and welcoming - I can highly recommend the Bianconi for lunch! (But note: it is closed for de-decorating for a short while from the 19th February)

4 of us ate here on Saturday night and it was the nicest meal we have had in a long time. The menu is diverse and covered all tastes in our party, the food was delicious and portion sizes were more than adequate. We were served by a lovely young guy called Conor, who I must say was extremely professional and friendly. He moved Silently in the background, topping up our wine and ensuring that we were well looked after. We will definitely be back soon, thank you

From the moment we arrived at this beautiful hotel to the moment we left one can only say that we were treated to some of the best customer service that we have ever received from any hotel around the world. We were warmly greeted at reception by Andrew. Our room was clean, spacious and so comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which again was in a league of its own' compliments to the chef. You could see that there was no expense spared when it came to making people fell safe in the hotel during this terrible time of covid. Hazel and Andrew were lovely hosts and their team made us feel so comfortable in this gem of a restaurant. Hazel treated my wife and I to some Champagne for our anniversary and the chef made us a lovely desert, perfect. To top it off the following morning we had a freshly cooked breakfast, The breakfast menu was again one of the best that i had seen and suited for every taste. I can only say that we look forward to staying here again hopefully in the near future. Thanks again from John and Annette

We had three meals at the Bianconi while we stayed at the hotel, which is also a must do! The dinners were exceptional as was the breakfast. I had the seafood chowder, which was roasting hot, as it should be, and delightful. The bread was also delicious. The cornfed Irish chicken with mashed potatoes sounds simple but it was a gourmet meal. Absolutely delicious. My husband had the salmon which he loved. The oven baked Brie wrapped in brick pastry was perfect! Light delicate pastry & topped with pear and walnut chutney. It was soooo good. The Pavlova was also excellent. The Bianconi is an exceptional experience. Amazing food, warm Irish hospitality and a comfortable, luxurious hotel. You will be so glad you chose them. Enjoy!

I went to this restaurant on a Monday evening in the pouring rain my husband dropped us off outside the door as we have two toddlers 3 and 1. After getting inside while he parked the car we were ignored for a good few minutes and I could see what I assume was the manager behind the bar starring at us and talking to another staff member before they eventually approached us. When I asked if we could have a table for 4 I was told they had no tables available even though I could clearly see half the place was empty. I just looked at her and said that was fine and swore I would never set foot in the place again as she clearly didn't want us due to my kids being so young and she took no remorse in sending us back out into the rain hungry. I have never been treated like this before and sincerely hope she never does this to someone else just for extra money.

Dear M6510URelleno
Thank you for submitting your review. I can see from your point of view on a wet evening arriving to us with your family at the last minute, it must have been frustrating not to have gotten a table. As a Mum myself, it was a top priority to both my husband and I that when we took the business over, we made it as family-friendly as possible. We have an extensive childrens menu, our own Bianconi activity sheets etc to keep the little ones occupied. Therefore I do take it to heart when somebody suggests that we do not want family business and prioritise other guests over them. We are in a very fortunate position to have such incredible local support all year round and we do advise all our customers to pre book tables, particularly on weekdays as a lot of other restaurants in the area are closed early midweek. We have an excellent booking system in place, and I do feel on the evening you came to us, although tables may have looked unoccupied, I can assure you that we had an entire sitting booked that would not have allowed for walk-ins, which happens on a daily basis. My staff and I do our utmost to accommodate as many people as we can, where possible, but we have to prioritise the people that have made bookings and there simply isn't enough time to turn tables when prior reservations have been made. I would love the opportunity to welcome you back on another occasion. As you can see from our other reviews, I am very lucky to be surrounded by such fantastic staff who do their utmost to look after our customers. I would advise that you pre-book your table in future so as to avoid dissapointment.

Went for the Burger and Fries. That description does not do it justice. The burger was huge, messy and absolutely delicious. The fries had truffle and cheese dressing and they were finger licking amazing. We had the ribs to start and the meat just fell off the bone. Just a fantastic night.

The Bianconi was always our stop over for lunch when on the ring of Kerry for many years, unfortunately the flavours and seasoning of the food has depreciated a lot on this visit!
The seafood platter was just ok, the avocado was overripe and covered in mayonnaise, the brown bread didn’t have its usual flavour and taste either and the prawns were more akin to steamed and again not very tasty.
My other half had the Chimmichurri prawns and again the dish lacked seasoning, there wasn’t any chilli or ginger and was tasteless.
Overall the food tasted more like hotel food and not what we expect from the Bianconi

Dear Youngy61,
Thank you for taking the time to submit this review. I was disappointed to read your comments on the two particular dishes you have mentioned as they are our most popular items on the menu. i have spoke to my team in the kitchen and we have reviewed both dishes since. I would like to make two points however firstly that the sauce on the platter was not mayonnaise it was creme fraiche and also that thankfully i am very fortunate to have such an attentive food & beverage team who would have checked your table after your meal. I find that after the difficult few years the hospitality industry has endured it would be helpful to all restaurateurs that an issue be brought to our attention on the day so they we may rectify the matter rather than submitting a review on departure. i would hope you return to us on another occasion in the future.

The Bianconi is well worth a visit.
I had the sea bass special which was served with a creamy sauce of prawns and leeks. It was gorgeous. My husband had soup follower by fish (without the batter) and chips. We both really enjoyed our meals. The service was very good as well.

We ate here last night with two children and we loved it! The service was friendly and there was plenty of time between courses which suited us. The food really was fantastic. The nicest duck main I think I've ever had, the starter of pork belly and scallops was lovely and the tempura on the prawns was light and not greasy. Desserts yummy too! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We actually were staying in killarney but couldn't get anywhere to eat... so we drove to killorglin. I rang looking for a table and Rory said everyone was full but if we drove by and saw one it was ours! So, we drove by saw a table and I hopped out of the car asking any chance the table was free? Are you the lady that phoned earlier? I'm so glad you drove by !! He is exactly what should be in the dictionary under "Irish Hospitality" Rory was outstanding .. looked after us, had the chats (professional!!) & just made us feel super welcome. Our food was delicious. Steak and veggie pasta .. omg the chips are yummy here! Lovely and crispy!
What was a random trip looking for dinner (all the way from killarney where we were staying) ended up being a beautiful meal and delicious wine. Very unexpected as we had lost hope even getting a table anywhere!
Our last words leaving the table were...."Now that is the old Irish Hospitality you don't get anymore"
Unfortunately- I personally feel establishments aren't training staff anymore and its not their fault- it's management which is such a shame as that is what we are known for- our Hospitality & I've not seen it in the last 5 places I've dined. & I've dined in nice places where standards and expectations would be high. But I don't like to write negative reviews but there are a lot.
Keep up the fantastic work all the team at the Bianconi (especially Rory who was exemplary)

A trip to the Bianconi was a treat when I was on annual family holidays in Glenbeigh in the 70s and early 80s, so when I took my family to Kerry for the first time this year dinner here had to be on the list. TBH there was a bit of trepidation on my part that my 40+ year old memories wouldn’t be borne out, but I needn’t have worried. Everything we ordered was top-notch, the pints were excellent and the service was ultra-friendly and efficient. We had a marvellous experience and we’ll be back. Warmly recommended.

Jan 13th we were brought out for Dinner to The Bianconi 6of us in the party.
We had a drink on arrival
We decided we would go straight for main course and dessert wine etc
We were sated very promptly and the restaurant was very busy.
Our delight when we read the menu spoilt for choice
4of us went for Mediterranean Style Chicken Hanging Kebab served streaky bacon/courgette/peppers/and lovely chilli and herb butter
Bianconi Surprise which is famous and absolutley beautiful was chosen
Monkfish pan fried wrapped in leek on a bed of lentils /bacon/fennel/green beans /Salad and Sauce
Pan Seared 10ozRibeye Steak grilled wild mushrooms squash puree crispy potato chunky chips etc
The food arrived we were just thrilled with everything scrumptious top quality food in a great friendly warm atmosphere. We were advised on a new Sauvignon Blanc "Chatelain" as we tend to go for same wine on visits it was lovely and a great suggestion by the top Head Server Rory who was so attentive and thoughtful he has years of experience can't beat that.
We had warm salted carmel mini doughnuts for dessert and of course Irish Coffees to follow and they were first class.
If ur coming to Kerry make sure to book here for Dinner it's top class outstanding food great atmosphere fantastic staff and great value
