Left my sandwiches at home on the way to do the Coomloughra Horsehoe, got two different ones here in Jacks which has little space left to hang Bridgestone plaques and specified minimal contents as the filling would fall out...thankfully the lady said that her fillings never fall out and wrapped them up expertly. I have never tasted sandwiches so nice... More

Two beautiful tasty quiches, noodle salad and coleslaw together with a loaf of fabulous bread made for a very happy house that afternoon. Amazing food, expensive but worth it.

We stopped in for a cup of coffee and to warm up. We chose a an apple strudel and an orange almond tart. After we had paid I remembered that I had read in novels about something called barm brack, and asked the sales lady if they carried it year round or just at the holidays. She said they had... More

We love this place. It brings a real continental feeling to Killorglin and the quality of the baking is superb. There is no seating inside, so customers either take provisions away or sit outside (weather permitting). If the prices of items are not displayed, just ask the staff, so as to avoid any surprise at the till. Some items are... More

Earlier I had stopped at two of my fav. eateries in the area, one was closed :( & the other was on holiday...In the past I had been to Jack's for baked goods...I had a vegetable salad that was tasty, however, think it would of been better if it had been warmed up a bit.

Had heard about this little bakery and was determined to go with my golf buddies as we were staying in town 1 night. Friends thanked me for my insistence. All of us loved the sandwiches. Also went a bit crazy with the pastries. I also picked up a few different pieces of cheese to snack on later. Every piece was... More
