This was our first time staying in the Glenbeigh Hotel. We had a 3 night stay booked (with a Pigsback deal that included dinner on one of the nights). We booked a twin room, as my partner is a very restless sleeper and I dread having to be in a small double bed with him. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by Karina, who directed us to our room. The room itself was very nice and cosy, small, but with 2 single beds as requested. There was a lovely big bathroom. However, there was literally no view out the bedroom window, we were looking at a wall. So I went down and spoke to Karina and while she initially said the hotel was booked up for the weekend, which it was, she then very kindly swapped our room with another booking and gave us a beautiful big room with a superking size bed and three big bay windows overlooking the garden! We were over thrilled with this and appreciated so much that Karina moved bookings around to accommodate us. When we went down for dinner a table was reserved for us by the fire and the staff were so efficient and attentive. The menu was excellent with an amazing seafood selection. We had mussels between us to start, which we both agreed were undoubtedly the best mussels we ever had. Then I had the seafood mariniere which was out of this world. Salmon, prawns, cod and mussels in a delicious sauce, all absolutely melt in the mouth. Paul had calamari and his portion was so big I thought there was no way he would finish it, but it was so good he ate every last bit. The food was so good we booked dinner there for the following two nights also, this restaurant was a seafood heaven! Everything about the hotel was lovely, it had a lovely old world charm, warm fires around the bar, and wonderfully attentive and friendly staff. The bedroom was spotless and made up beautifully every day. We had such an amazing time here and defintely intend to return again this year. The fabulous seafood and the gorgeous bedroom made this for us, it was an absolutely lovely weekend break. I would highly recommend this hotel, it has real charm and character and a great team of staff.

It's a 12 bedroom hotel, so feels cosy and intimate, yet the dining room is really grand and would rival a 5 star hotel with the decor, food presentation and amazing service. We stayed in room one, beautiful views of the garden and sea in the distance. Our bed was huge and really comfortable. Fire was lit for us, to enjoy our drinks beside it, in the bar, a lovely touch. Food in the bar was super, we had sea food chowder and steak, five stars! The breakfast was a true highlight, warm chocolate croissants, fresh brown bread, porridge with Baileys cream and berries and one of the best Full Irish we have ever had. Plenty items to choose from. They have won awards for their food, everything is home made on site. Top class service, great attention to detail, old Ireland feels and we will definitely visit this little gem again.

We were a group of 7 friends staying for 2 nights. On checking in we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. The rooms were large, bright and full of eclectic furnishings. Having dinner the first night we informed the waitress that there were two Vegans in our group, but there was nothing plant based on the menu. As she went to check with the chef I joked that we would be offered a vegetarian curry or stir fry, the usual go to. To my surprise chef made us a Mediterranean roasted vegetable pasta with truffle oil. It was divine. At breakfast next morning, my sister and I were immediately recognised as the vegans and offered a choice of plant milk, plant based spread for the wonderful brown soda bread and chef made Boxty (which was not on the menu) especially for us. The group were also treated to a plate of freshly baked pastries which chef wanted us to try. On arrival we had inquired about sea kayaking and Corrina at reception was looking into it for us. When she couldn’t get an answer from the kayaking place, she sent one of her staff to drive over to them to make the inquiry for us. That was the level of personal service we received. In the local area we had an amazing day at Kells rain forest and also had wonderful hikes again recommended by Corrina. Night 2s meal was just as delicious as night 1, not only the vegan option but also the fish and steak dinners that my friends enjoyed. I have no negatives, this hotel and the staff are exceptional and it was a joy to stay here.

This was our second visit to the Glenbeigh hotel having stayed there during a ring of Kerry cycle last year. We are newly vegan and as such we rang ahead just to check that there would be food options available for us. We were told it wouldn't be a problem at all. When we arrived at reception we found a note had been made for us and they confirmed there'd be no problems. At every stage all of the staff at the Glenbeigh hotel were so accommodating! For dinner we had a really great soup followed by a delicious nut loaf with tomato sauce, the server reassured us that the bread they'd usually serve with the soup was made with butter but they had an alternative sorted. Everything about our stay had been considered but at the same time we were never made to feel like we were being awkward. When we went down for breakfast we were told unprompted that there was almond milk and dairy free butter available too. Our room was lovely and the stay was very reasonably priced. We had chosen to stay here again based on a previous fantastic experience, and this visit only added to that. We will definitely be back!

First timers here to Glenbeigh and to the hotel for food. Very busy even on a Monday evening around 6.30pm. Impressed as being well run. Walk in service to pub, we had to wait at the bar about 5 minutes for a table. We ordered the cheesy garlic ciabatta to share between us at €6.45. I was very pleased that the kids food (they shared 1 portion of sausage and chips €7) arrived at the same time as the starter though we hadn't asked for this. This hotel is attuned to families needs and is kid friendly. For mains, my husband ordered the fish special (salmon) with smoked salmon mash &vegetables at €19.95 & I ordered the seafood mariniere with salad and chips at €23.95. Excellent mains of very decent portions and freshness. I complimented the waitress and I presume manager when we were leaving and she said people travel a distance for the dish I had. I understand why but I probably would recommend my dish with mash and vegetables as opposed to the salad I had. Definitely recommended if passing by especially the fish dishes.

We stayed in the hotel St Patrick's night. We arrived around 1.30pm, the bar/restaurant was really busy and settled at the bar for a drink. We were lucky enough to get a table for food once we were ready to eat. The staff were really friendly and even though it was very busy they managed to keep everything running smoothly. I had the lamb and my partner had the vegetarian option that was available, both were delicious. There was music in the bar but we headed down the village to take in the St Patrick's day atmosphere. We made our way back to the hotel later and checked in around 8pm, our room was really nice and spacious. There was a bottle of prosecco in our room which was chilling, we had gotten engaged earlier in the day and my mother had rung to order it as a surprise. We went back down to bar and ordered soup as we we're really that hungry. The bar/restaurant was really busy again and everyone there seemed to enjoying the food and atmosphere, the majority of the people seemed to be local which is a great review in itself. Karena delivered down a mint areo cheesecake with Happy Engagement written around the bowl, it was a really lovely touch and the dessert was delicious and free of charge. In the morning we arrived down for breakfast, again the young lady who served us was lovely and so professional, the menu choices were fantastic and the food again was superb. We would really like to thank all the staff and Karena for the special treatment we received and we would not hesitate recommending the hotel to family and friends. We hope to see you all again next year for the anniversary. Dave and Mags

We had a truly lpvely time at the Glenbeigh Hotel. We had a lovely room , the staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food is excellent. I really loved the linen table cloths with fresh flowers at Breakfast. The homemade bread and Jam was excellent, the freshly prepared fruit salad and warm croissants were beautiful. We completed part of the Kerry way walking trail it was very enjoyable. An excellent Autumn break .

We stayed for a week in Glenbeigh in a house down the road from the Hotel and we ate there every night bar one during the recent heatwave. It was great to sit outside in the garden every evening and have great food in such balmy weather. It was like being on The Algarve. Drinks you got yourself from the bar in the converted horsebox but there was rarely a queue. The food was really good. Recommended dishes include: Sirloin Steak; Seafood Mariniere; Fish & Chips; Roast of the Day, Hamburger, Chicken Wings. There were some tasty specials on offer too, including: Deep Fried Brie and Cod Florentine. A good selection of wines by the glass included a tasty Malbec. The service here was amazing and the staff are a credit to the Hotel. Well recommended but remember they don't take bookings for outside, just walk in's. We will be back!

My wife and I stayed here with our 9-month old daughter while travelling around the Ring of Kerry over visiting from Australia. A lady staff member with blonde hair upgraded us to a more suitable room to accommodate our stay with our baby which was appreciated. The room we were upgraded to was very spacious and we were comfortable. We could hear out onto the street below which was a little noisy but we partly expected that when we booked. The food was very good and the service very quick which we were delighted with. We had main meals and desserts and each meal was good value for money. They had some construction works going on while we were eating which wasn't ideal but it wasn't the end of the world either. The hot breakfast the next morning set us up for our day travelling to Killarney and then back to Cork. I would recommend this hotel for travellers looking for somewhere to stay or those wanting a nice pub meal. We loved it and wouldn't certainly stay again. Keep up the great work and excellent customer service.

Excellent breakfast, served in Garden Room and I wish the evening meal could have been served there. Evening meal was in The Bar, food was excellent with a Gluten Free Option available. We don't like Bar Atmosphere so that was the only drawback. We ate at this Hotel during the summer and dinner was served outdoors, Covid perfect atmosphere and excellent food and service.

We just returned from a two-night stay at the Glenbeight Hotel. We had a really pleasant stay. We were driving the Ring of Kerry and this hotel is in a great location to do that. We found everybody at the hotel really nice and helpful. The bar is nice, and the drink is reasonably priced (especially compared to Dublin). We had food in the bar/restaurant on both nights. The food was really tasty, large portions, reasonably priced, and very good value. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, found it to be good value for money, and would return again.
