Just stopped for an impromptu lunch. Food very fresh, local. Had hot and cold mix of hake, salmon, crab and prawns. Reasonably priced in lovely location. Highly recommended.

Family owned restaurant with a lovely view of Valentia Island. I ordered the fried hake and my husband had the crab. The hake was delicious, similar to cod or haddock. I'm not a fan of crab since I can't have it fresh...it is usually sweet/fishy...More

Went on Saturday night and it was packed, didn't have to wait too long for a table and when we got a table the food was fantastic. The crab and hake were beautiful and prices were very reasonable. Definitely one of the best restaurants around....More

If you like seafood this is the place to visit. Between us we had the Lobster, Sea Food Platter, Salmon and the Crab gratin. Every meal was excellent and very good value for money.

Superb lunch selection of the freshest fish. I had salmon three ways which was delicious. In our group we also had the hot and cold plate and the hake. It was all fantastic and a real meal to remember.

I had a lobster and I will definitely be back. Incredible! We were four people, the other had fish and they also had a very enjoyable dinner.

We didnt get to eat here last night. It was jammo and we were advised of a minimum 30 min wait. But when we said OK, it didn't seem like the front of house manager really wanted our business. She didnt take our name, so we left, and went to QCs which was excellent. I have no doubt that this place is excellent too, but what I want to know is why the owner only responds to negative reviews, never once saying thank you to those that post a great review. The responses to the negative reviews are arrogant and reflects how we felt we we treated when we arrived. "Come eat here if you can afford the wait". I guess when you're that good you can afford to be that way.

The owner would have noted you and seated you in turn, she never takes your name and never forgets who is next . The regulars and visitors are all seated in the order they arrive,It is by far the favourite place of mine when... More
Hi Pet, What did you expect to be served at a SEAFOOD BAR???? The answer is in the title - SEAFOOD BAR. The fact that there were 'dozens of loud, boozed up hangers on milling about waiting for a table', speaks for itself. I have never seen dozens of people waiting for a table at a venue serving BAD food!! You are obviously not used to eating fabulous, fresh and expertly cooked seafood. The Point Seafood Bar is an amazing place with a fantastic ambience.
