Honestly, the food was good and fairly reasonable. The setting is lovely! What a pity about the staff; unprofessional, unfriendly, curt and nasty. One person who was tidying the chairs at our table actually picked them up and threw them under the table as we ate. Another served our tea at the end of a table for six even though... More

Was wowed with an incredible pulled pork and slaw sandwich. Vegetable soup was also very tasty. Other diners had the crab salad and salmon lentil salad. Both were equally impressed. Terrific brown bread and coffee as well. Busy little cafe, but still quiet enough to have a conversation. Great value and friendly service. Will definitely return.

Skibbereen is full of restaurants. Many average, some good, but this is in the top tier in terms of quality, range and value. The coffee is first class and the cakes superlative. The more substantial fare is very interesting, the soups in particular often involve a very exciting range of ingredients. Worth a visit any time during the day.

My favourite spot to have breakie with my hubby and 2 little girls or bring any visitors for a coffee and cake. The chocolate beetroot cake is to die for. All local ingredients and cooked from scratch- yum yum yum - you just have to go and try it out for yourself - you won't be disappointed ❤️

Kalbos is my favourite café in Skibbereen. They have a wonderful menu every day using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Good curries, salads, soups, sandwiches etc, lots of ethnic twists. Fabulous desserts and cajes with good wheat free options. Their coffee is excellent. They also have a café in the arts centre and a stall at the market on Saturdays.
