We were referred to our restaurant by Nealy O’Sullivan (local B and B proprietor). Our food was delicious. I had Thai red curry with prawns that was flavorful, but not spicy, my husband had hake which he said was light and flaky. We topped it...all off with desserts, which were out of this world and very reasonable. The owner, John, was delightful and personable, it felt like we were in his home rather than a restaurant. We highly recommend Murphy’s restaurant!More

Great meal, I had the roast beef and my beloved had the salmon. Chips were delicious as was my salad and her mash. John, the owner, came to the table and regaled us with a few tales about the place. The best dinner we've had...in Ireland (a week and counting).More

A very friendly place with very good homely food, The food was well presented and tasty, They were very busy but fitted us in outdoors and we then were asked if we minded if another couple could join us which was fine. The tables are...picnic tables but are fine. The food was lovely but there was a bit of a wait to order dessert and tea. Overall a very good experience.More

A fantastic spot in Castletownbere, right from the welcome to the send off. The food was amazing, the service too class and the owner even came to the table to have a chat, something I haven’t experienced in a long long time! Would highly recommend!

A great no-nonsense restaurant as you enter the town from Bantry with a car park adjacent. Lovely mural as you walk towards it. Simple well cooked fish dishes with terrific blackened Cajun Salmon and lovely fresh fish of the day landed at the fishing harbour...just yards away. Very efficient and friendly service this certainly a great place to eat, especially on a wet and miserable day as was the case when we visited.More
