We went here on spec for lunch. We both had chowder which arrived with lots of nice bread- the Guinness bread was yum. Helpings were substantial and full of assorted fish. Staff very nice.

Group of us stayed out in Howth for the night and were looking for nice breakfast Sunday morning. Not having stayed in Howth before, we found this lovely place on the hill. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely decor. Had a really great...More
Had a nice meal there, we were a party of two families including 6 children. The children were made very welcome...unusual in irish restaurants of this calibre. There was a kids menu, the food was great if a tad pricey for a kids menu. The...More
A perfect experience of food and service. Good value with a wide choice available. Will be returning there as a couple and with friends. Try it you will not be disappointed.
Thanks for review. Great you enjoyed everything. Hope to see you again soon. Karl
We come here from time to time, as they have OK cooked breakfast, especially the pancakes. The staff are ok but I definitely never get the impression they care much. Seats are very uncomfortable and given the small space they probably should cut down on...More
That's great you like the food experience. Ask for the soft seats by the walls, they are comfortable. Some tables are bigger than others, so ask for a bigger one. Thanks for review. Best, Karl
Went for Sunday Brunch but arrived at 10:30am before Brunch began. Breakfast menu was very limited and disappointing. Orange juice tasted very bitter. We suspected the oranges had gone off. Eggs were cold. Sausages where more suited to a bangers and mash dish, overpowered by...More

Service was good and the staff were friendly. Not convinced that the price of the food was good value for money- 6 Euro seems to me to be a bit pricey for a plate of soup and slice of bread.
Thanks for nice review & visiting The House. We source great produce and create homemade dishes. We price accordingly. Best, Karl
We came upon this restaurant on our way down from the Howth Summit, saw the Trip Advisor's recommendations in the window and decided to try it rather than a restaurant directly on the water. The food was excellent and so was the service.
