We had a wonderful dinner in this snug cafe. Oysters, seafood chowder, crab and fish cakes were fresh and perfectly prepared. The chowder was the best ever. Wish this place was closer to Georgia and home.

We walked in and got a table at the bar with a sea view. The crab claws in garlic butter was yummy as well as our fish and chips!! I is always great to have piping hot food. We would love to come back in the summer!!

Had dinner with my husband last night and we really enjoyed our evening. We have gotten the seafood platter a few times now and are never disappointed. We shared the platter which is very reasonable at €40 between us and had a bloody Mary oyster shooter each. Service from Zack was super. We'll be back.

It was a busy sunny Saturday in Howth so the cafe bar was very busy but we got a wee table. The crab open sandwich was really good - fresh crab - and my oysters were delicious. The Guinness was also good.

Hard to get a seat, and when you do the popular seafood may have sold out, it was for us, crab. The young staff work their socks off, and customers will be from all corners of the world. Good to sit outside in fine weather.

My girlfriend and I walked for 4.5 hrs on Howth so we arrived at East Cafe with great appetites. We both went for fish of the day which was haddock. Whilst it was clearly very fresh it was rather lacking in flavour. I had sweet potato fries, my lady had chips. We also shared a plate of calamari. I didn't... More

This was a lovely discovery, had a vegetarian dish and an amazing glass of white wine for dinner. Small place, but great atmosphere! I also love going there for coffee and sit outside looking at the pier :)

Enjoyed Monkfish with Spring Vegetables , with Mussel Cream. The Monkfish was fresh & full of flavour, complimented by the lovely combination of the green veggies & the Mussels in a very light Cream. We chose an Austrian White Wine ( Grunner). Very good wine & well-priced. East was busy & buzzing with people enjoying themselves . The staff are... More

My family and I came here for lunch after walking along the pier. We had a great meal and enjoyed some fish n chips and a Guinness. The staff was very friendly and the prices were spot on. The restaurant is quite small but it gives it a nice, cozy feel.
