Drive in from nearby Athlone frequently for lunch. Easily my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is great and always tastes fresh, nice portion sizes and the staff are always super friendly. It's a small place but I think the tables are spaced out enough so even during busy periods you never feel boxed in. Would highly recommend if... More

This is a proper old fashioned pub in picturesque Glasson with restaurant and pub food. We were on a business trip and dropped in for a late lunch. We both had fish (Hake) if the day delicious Chios and a crunchy salad. It was just exactly perfect pub food and very good value. We highly recommend Grogans.

I opted for the vegetarian parcels for main course , the vegetable parcels had too much pastry and not enough vegetables ! Although the actual venue is very nice I wouldn't recommend eating here if you are vegetarian

Had dinner here on Saturday evening. We shared the mussels in white wine to start. The brown bread with this was lovely. Husband had the hake which half way through I robbed. The leak and cream sauce was Devine. I had the sirloin which was also lovely. Great spot, very busy but still felt very welcome. Staff were bee friendly... More

Really cosy place with turf fire blazing. Lots of parking out back and not far from M4 so ideal place to stop off . Great menu to cover all tastes looking forward to going there again.

Tasty lunch , nice pint at the fire and not an over the top price tag. The Guinness bread is 'to die for' so much so we bought a loaf to take away.

Celebrated New Year with visiting family by dining in Grogans. Good old fashioned ambience. Prompt attention, good variety of options on the menu, and a reasonable wine list (though not all listed available, 3rd time lucky with us!). Mainly very tasty meals for the company, only exception was the battered fish hard batter, little fish. Service very cheerful and friendly,... More
