We visited here twice during a recent stay near Ardara. First visit was for hot chocolates and coffee after a cold and damp walk on the beach. The restaurant was warm and cosy along with the welcome. We also had a slice of apple pie with cream and a mince pie.. Best I've ever tasted! The pastry just melted in... More

My dear Irish friend made this a must stop and I am grateful. We had scones and coffee...it was the best ever...freshly baked, as was many other items to select from.

Dropped in here for lunch, had gorgeous soup with home-baked brown bread, and a club sandwich. My partner had a chicken salad followed by lovely gluten-free cake!. A great place to drop in, either for a coffee and cake, a light snack or a more substantial lunch. The staff were friendly and polite, and its popular with locals. On the... More

We rented a house in Ardara and 4 of us wondered in the open door about 9-ish for breakfast only to find Sheila busy as a bee baking up a storm--she said 'we don't actually open for breakfast until 9:30"--we were disappointed and then she said 'but what would you like?" We ordered some of her wonderful scones, tea and... More

Our flat was just across the road, but we came back because the food was nice, the atmosphere of the place quaint and the service very friendly. We had breakfast there quite a few times and if the Café were open a bit later in the evening we would have had dinner there more often. Highly recommended.

You will not get a better Breakfast in Ardara, Friendly proficient staff, proper full Irish Breakfast at a very reasonable price. Far superior to the Nesbitt Arms Hotel Breakfast and served with a smile.

We had lunch two days running in this café. It was busy, and there were local people eating there- always a good sign. I had sweet potato and ginger soup - with fresh ginger, just the right amount- and it was a nice light lunch. It was accompanied by good Wheaton bread. My husband had local fish and chips, and... Fresh and great quality home made food. Great atmosphere. You can read about the story of the town/village and about its weaving history. Great place. I'd like to thank the people here and see You next year!

Called in on 26 September for brunch we were served by a very unpleasant woman we were really going to leave but I did speak to another lady about the matter we will not be back as there are other places we could eat it were customer service would be better.
