We have had lunch or afternoon tea here on 5 or 6 occasions and each time we have found the food to be excellent. We particularly like the wide choice of cakes/desserts - and they are all excellent ! The staff are almost all extremely friendly. The only reason we would fault The Tea & Garden Rooms (apart from the... More

We ate here with friends on Saturday afternoon, lovely setting out the back room, the menu is small and limited but everything is done very well, I do think the only problem is that's it's slightly pricey for lunch, Good food, great service, slightly over priced but would recommend

We stopped here at the recommendation of our Bed & Breakfast Hosts and were not disappointed. The food was very good, the atmosphere charming. The back room is actually in the garden so a delightful place to sit while you enjoy your meal.

Loved the ham and cheese sandwich with cup of soup - curried vegetable one day, creamy mushroom the next, both great for October season. And as for the cakes, what a selection! The lemon and passion fruit tart was a highlight.

Overwhelmed by the smell of freshly baked scones as we came through the front door. A log stove warmed the front room but we settled for the conservatory where we overlooked a beautiful garden, which was a foreground to amazing hillside views. Soup and open sandwiches were good but I recommend you skip straight to the coffee and walnut cake,... More

Visited here on a Sunday in August with husband, daughter, son-in-law, two grandchildren and a friend for lunch. Food nice and fresh but portions small and menu overpriced. Desserts/cakes are really delicious. The place wasn't packed on the particular day we visited but staff did seem seem a little flustered all the same - we had three different staff attending... We visited this tea room on a weekend after our lunch had settled and we were ready for coffee. It was highly recommended by a local we had meet the evening before. It is a treasure, the conservatory is beautiful and relaxing. It was nearly impossible to choose a dessert from the homemade and eye-pleasing selection. We lingered there in... More

We drove R 479, the coastal road, between Doolin and Ballyvaughn in County Clare, Ireland. The sights of the Atlantic Ocean and the Burren were beautiful. Irish roads are narrow and a challenge for American drivers. Arriving in Ballyvaughan on this cool day, we were ready for our daily dose of vegetable soup, brown bread, and Irish Tea. The gardens,... I think we caught the staff out this morning. As we arrived so did two mini buses of people, to be greeted by the only member of staff on duty. After a short delay reinforcements arrived and all were served with a choice of delicious tarts and cakes accompanied by tea or coffee. An excellent place to stop.
