We ate here for the first time since the new owners took over. The staff service and food was fantastic. We will definitely return.

Popped in with a friend after hiking in the rain & the food was amazing! Fish was so fresh, best I’ve had in a long time! The waitress was also very welcoming & attentive. Would definitely recommend the stop!

Had family lunch there. Restaurant is cold so some people had jackets on while eating-not a good indicator. The prawns pil pil were flavourless -could not taste garlic or coriander at all. Fish and chips were nice but the side salad came covered in a...More

We popped in here after a walk across a very snowy Burren. We enjoyed seafood chowder and fishcake by a welcoming fire.

The waxy handlebar mustachioed barman made it clear in the most inhospitable tone: "No, we are closed for remodelling." In fairness, at 3:08 pm, we walked by a sign that said open for lunch and then saw the door sign saying that the restaurant would...More

My husband and I were sent to Monk's by our innkeepers at Drumcreehy Country House. The experience was marvelous. They welcomed us in quickly, got us a window table, menus, shared specials - there was even live Irish music playing when we sat down! Savory...More

Visited yesterday, 13th, lovely cup of coffee but more importantly the very best scone in Ireland, crisp, light, buttery and utterly delicious. Outstanding baking, reminds me once again just why scones are a thing. Pub/Restaurant itself is a lovely, light filled, warm but airy space,...More

Fantastic lunch. Great fish restaurant. Recently renovated which has made it much more open and spacious. I miss the open fire though- now replaced with a wood burner! Great place for food on a cold winters day to escape the elements.

I believe it closed at end of 2015. Local rumour suggests that a new owner is opening for a short time from August, then closing again for renovations. Linnane's in New Quay is a great place. Walk the Flaggy shore then a... More
