We stopped here for a cuppa and were wonderfully surprised by the service and the delicious scones. When we arrived the place was very busy but we were seated very quickly. We ordered teas/coffee and scones all of which promptly arrived. Staff very friendly but slightly confused as two people tried to take our order and two different staff members... More

For the size of the establishment they hace in chapter one the food is very good. All fresh and very creative. Lovely service as well. Not to sure but I think it was the owner or manager that served us and she was so lovely fit to recommend food to. Nice window seat watching the world go by

Called in for a mid morning cuppa and couldn't resist a delicious fruit scone served with home made jam and fresh cream! All served on vintage look China which added to the shabby chic interior. Bags of atmosphere and character and def worth a return visit!

Chapter 1 is without a doubt the most popular place to meet and eat in Cavan. The menu is packed with delicious options for breakfast or lunch and the friendly staff always go out of their way to deliver a memorable experience in a cosy environment.

I've never had a full meal here but have had plenty of snacks and sandwiches. The staff are friendly, the decor traditional and I can vouch for the homemade scones, raspberry jam and clotted cream!

2 Thank Claire G
