We were in the area and looked up somewhere good for lunch. We had a friendly welcome and the food was tasty and home cooked . Will go back . It’s hard to find decent pub food and it was very reasonably priced.

A great country pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and accommodating. A varied menu and huge choice of drinks. We will be back!

This is a fantastic pub, which we frequent regularly! There are not many pubs as old as this - lots of suffolk heritage! The food is excellent - proper pub grub. We have worked our way down most of the well thought out menu. They...often have specials too. The beer is well maintained and there is an extensive range. The bar is well stocked with the usual spirits and rarer tipples. The bar staff and landlord are friendly and welcoming and we love coming back to just have a drink, or enjoy quiz nights and live music.More

A lovely local Pub with food, with a good atmosphere. Very glad we booked a table as was full at 7pm, Very friendly staff. We had whitebait and deep fried brie, both very good, large portion of whitebait. Steak & Kidney Pudding and Fisherman's Pie....The veg which came with the pudding was only luke-warm (especially the carrots), but the pudding was very tasty. Fishermans Pie only had one prawn in, but the rest was lovely. We would definitely come back again when in the area.More

Rang to ask whether they were open for lunch on Mondays as Tripadvisor said they are, though their website said they were closed, was greeted with 'Nah we're closed on Mondays' *click*. Looks like we'll be going elsewhere when we rent an AirBnB next door...in July then..More

The older among us will remember going into an old village pub 40/50 years ago. There was good beer, nice people, great surroundings and an atmosphere dicately tinged with woodsmoke. If you remember that, go to the Horseshoes and you'll instantly be back in that...pub from all those years ago. In these modern times when the emphasis is on corporate ownership, big profits and dividends for the shareholders this is a welcome break from all that. 6 of us had an excellent, great value meal and at the end I really didn't want to leave. I could quite happily enjoy that journey back in time over and over. We'll be back soon.More

This pub is a must to visit! The food, atmosphere and team are incredible. On Sunday we had booked the Festive Menu for 25+ people, 2 kids and 5 dogs! We were in one of the private rooms which was perfect. Food was beautifully cooked...and presented with really efficient service for the number of us, all with a range of choices of starters, mains and puds and while the team also had what looked like a fully booked pub too! Can't recommend The Horseshoes Inn enough, well worth a visit!More

Made a big mistake as I did not book a table, however when we arrive on Friday evening I explained to the owner/ Manager that I forgot to book, he invited us to have a drink at the bar and would find us a table...as soon as one became available, the good news was that they had a group playing 60s& Seventy’s music the band called the beats they were fantastic great old sounds, we waited about 35 minutes then we had a table, had a very good traditional pub meal and good value for money, what a lovely pub big open fire and a great atmosphere, friendly staff, I was surprised at the price of drinks my pint of real ale only £4.25 and a glass of white wine only £5.75 what a lovely pub, will certainly be back again because pubs like this is what pubs used to be like before the Gastro creation. 👍More

Had a surprise birthday party/ Xmas lunch with friends the food was fantastic especially the starter of creamed chicken livers. Despite the pub being fully booked there was 28 of us and still the service was brilliant the staff were very friendly and polite all...in all a lovely day in a very nice tradition pub to top it off the landlord (Lloyd) presented us with a complimentary bottle of port. Will definitely be going there againMore

My wife and I rarely get an evening out together so we were looking forward to dining out with their Christmas menu at this lovely pub which is dog friendly ,has a great atmosphere and friendly ,helpful staff.Unfortunately,I did not register the fact that the...Christmas special menu has to be pre-booked so we had to choose from the rest of the menu. The sheer volume of choices should have rang warning bells! We chose a starter of garlic mushrooms which we shared and was delicious-then things went a bit down hill! My wife opted for the Hunters Chicken which was smothered in coleslaw and bbq sauce rendering it almost inedible! She left most of it.I chose Steak and Kidney pudding which was ok but very stodgy. I never buy wine in pubs so I don't really know about prices but £6 for a medium /small glass seems very pricy. Our experience wasn't helped by the fact that we were given a table away from the cosy centre of the pub next to the kitchen and toilets and it was rather cold.A disappointing eveningMore

When you walk into a timbered interior with a comfy warm atmosphere and a fire in the inglenook giving off a lovely smell of burning logs you know you have made a great choice of venue for your Sunday lunch. There is a terrific menu...but we both had the Roast Beef and it was a good choice. three good slices of tasty beef, 5 roast potatoes, a roast parsnip, carrots, peas, beans and swede surrounded with plenty of gravy. Delicious. My pal didn't have enough room for desert but I managed to squeeze in a cherry crumble and custard. Yummy. Having seen the menu we'll have to come back to try more of their lovely home cooked food. Nice big car park, great welcome and really great service. It was very busy so a reservation is recommended.More
