It was a very good experience for all of us 6 adults and to children) Food was amazing, very good service from the staff. Good wine recomandation Iand reasonable prices I highly recommend it to anyone who come in the area.
Danilo the host is friendly, he's good at pr, as well, besides serving wonderfully. His wife and daughter make delicious food ranging from meat to pasta, from traditional cuisine to alternative foods.
Hesitated in the beginning, but at the end very satisfied with the quality and tasty food. For sure I would visit again!
We arrived at Poggio Murella’s village hungry late in a Sunday afternoon and the only place open serving food we could find was Il Capriccio. Door was open and a party of four seemed to be finishing their meal. We entered and sat down as...a gentleman in an old t-shirt appeared from the kitchen and as we asked whether the kitchen was still open (at 2pm), he shrugged: “so and so” but still started serving us and recommended us what was on offer. My companions had pasta margarita and a plate of a day. I had a massive plate of beef. Food was delicious and the amount of meat very generous. Service was very friendly and flexible.More
Grazie per la sua bella recensione e l'aspettiamo la prossima volta in giaca e cravatta. Saluti,Danilo
Slow service, half of the time the waiter didn't hear us. Maybe, he's deaf?.. I ordered a meal - wild boar. The smell was too strong and too spiced! They said that this type of meat is quite strong... so why the hell add even...more spices then??? Wine was bad too. We founding better wine in other restaurants.More
Grazie, però se Lei non gradisce i sapori forti mangi un petto di pollo. Purtroppo,il nostro aiuto di sala è vermente...More
In this small family restaurant we ate one of the best pasta and we drank an excellent red house wine. We highly recommend it.
Grazie mille Sig. Aurelian per la sua squisita recensione. Saluti,Danilo
This restaurant is positioned in a small village and we were entertained by looking at the locals who were reunited in the street after dinner (as it was normal almost everywhere many years ago). We ordered a meal with appetizers and a filetto and it...was really nice. Staff friendly and competent.More
Grazie Sig.Leonardo per le sue parole carine espresse,La saluto con affetto, Danilo
Lovely small, intimate ristorante in a rustic quiet village. The food was delicious, and the red wine we had complimented it well. The host made a great effort to make us comfortable and feel welcome by explaining as best he could the menu in English....The meals are not rushed, but nothing is in the surrounding village of course, and the experience felt like we were eating respectfully at someones home, so a place for quiet voices. The meal was expensive; a bottle of wine between two, a starter, two courses and a dessert was 145 euros but it was a great meal and we felt we had enjoyed a genuine taste of Tuscany.More
Grazie per le belle parole spese nei nostri confronti. Saluti,Danilo
Small restaurant in a really tiny place in Tuscany. Exquisite food with top quality and great presentation! Fresh mushrooms as nowhere else!
We booked Il Capriccio on the recommendation of a shopkeeper in Saturnia. Local knowledge is the best, so we bumped along a little country road to arrive. There were 8 local female villagers sitting outside chatting across the road, enjoying the summer evening, so it...had a beautiful feel on arrival. The food was great, service not as good, because the owner was concentrating on a small group of Italians who were there when we arrived, but these may have been personal friends of his, or locals. (They were given complimentary limoncello). ;( Anyway, it was still worth the visit there, for the quality of the food and the peaceful atmosphere.More
The best resturant in tuscany! Every meal that we order was perfect-primi, second and dessert. The wine at the place is local and made by the owner, we recommand to test it. The resturant is lovely, homey and the staff was very nice. Go visit and...enjoy a wonderful meal and great people :)More
Had dinner here on a recent trip to Saturnia. Idyllic village and this restaurant is perfectly situated. Knowing embarrassingly little Italian our waiter kindly translated every dish on the menu. We had fantastic gnocchi and ravioli and the beef main was in a delicious sauce...with a great bottle of local wine to top it off! Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit.More
This is a fantastic little restaurant in a gorgeous traditional village. The food is truly delicious and it is very competitively priced. I would definitely recommend making the trip up up the mountain ;)
Good good, friendly owners, true italian restaurant!!! The owners started a karaoke night after dinner, which was superb!!!!
