We visit regularly & are always delighted to see the proprietor and his latest creations. The atmosphere is relaxed and attentive in equal measure. We had a divine steak cooked Saignant plus; exactly to our liking followed by a wonderful citrus deconstructed cheesecake. We paid about 75 euros for lunch for a cupule with beer, wine and water

They opened especially for the ten of us just before New Year and a few more tables were filled. It is the nearest restaurant to friends we stayed with and their recommendation was justified. We received a warm welcome and really enjoyed the evening - interesting food, a bit different, decent red wine etc.

Le Cheval Blanc is just amazing!
Yann and the team always go over and above to offer the best food and service for everyone. The service is attentive but not intrusive and the food is truly fabulous.
The menu isn’t extensive (which is a positive as it’s local and fresh) but there’s enough to please everyone.
Dietary requirements are catered for too, just mention when you book. I’m gluten free and have always been very well looked after.

We are lucky to visit the area regularly, and we always without doubt visit for a meal. We have been here on a hot couples date, for a large birthday meal, and a family lunch, and the service and food have never let us down. This really is a MUST for an awesome meal in the heart of the French countryside.

After a covid break from holidays to France since 2019 we returned this year. It was great to return to Le Cheval Blanc and to receive the warmest of welcomes. A great place for a morning coffee, and two of the best meals out we have ever had. The food was of the highest quality and beautifully presented; service friendly, attentive and efficient and atmosphere fantastic. We will be returning in summer 2023.

Lovely atmosphere. Very spacious, with ample room between tables. Tastefully decorated.
I chose the a la carte menu, and it was a bit lacking in choice. But overall a very pleasant experience with friends.
A basket of their delicious bread would have been enough for me!

Such a warm welcome and delicious food. The owner was so friendly and explained the menu in detail. All the food was beautifully prepared and delicious. Great atmosphere too and the cheese cake a must! Thank you

We found the Cheval Blanc by accidentlast summer, looking for somewhere to eat at the last minute close to where we were staying in Lorignac. We were not disappointed, the owner made us feel extremely welcome, starting with an aperitif outside in the evening sunshine. Our food was amazing, beautufully presented and tasting delicious.
We are returning this year and are intending to visit a few times if we can get booked in as we can't wait to introduce our family to this wonderful restaurant.

This lovely restaurant never fails to deliver. Great food, friendly welcome and most importantly the COVID guidelines followed to the letter made us fell very safe.

Rung up last minute for a booking for 6 guests, 1 being vegan. Spoke to a lovely guy by the name of Jan who told us they were fully booked but tried to help me find somewhere else to go in the area. After a few places were mentioned, he then offered to squeeze us in if we came earlier, which we did! Superb meal, friendly staff and luckily for us, Jan spoke brilliant English which helped as our French was non existent! Would definitely recommend and go back should we be in the area. Everything freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

Great food and service make this the perfect go to for a celebration or romantic night out.
Food was delicious and very well presented. They also have a Sunday menu that changes.
Overall definitely worth a visit.

The Cheval Blanc goes from strength to strength. We enjoyed a delicious meal. My starter was a type of very light fresh mozzarella with a delicious tart compote. Duck to follow that was melt in the mouth. Jan was really helpful in recommending a wine to suit our meals. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
