We stopped here for a bite last Sunday, and the weather being sunny and warm, we had a bit of a wait - but no problem! Deck chairs abound and the view out over the river and the boats was pretty and entertaining. As well,...the canine concierge with the frisbee was hard to ignore! The service was friendly and fast; they really look after you! We had 2 draft to go with the amazing fish 'n chips and finished with a slice of chocolate cake - Wow! It was hard to leave but we will be back for sure!More

What a cool restaurant. We try to get here as much as possible during the summer months, be aware this place is suuuuper busy!! Great menu, food was awesome. The atmosphere is the best. Take the boat out and eat right on the water. We...absolutely love this place. Easier to get a table if you go after labour day as a lot of tourists aren't around anymore, they do get short staffed though so be patient with their servers. They are so friendly and work so hard.More

Great place to visit been wanting to go there for years finally got there this weekend, was busy and with all the restrictions they handled it professionally they were dog friendly that really helped gave us a bowl of water and a jug of water....The food was well worth the price burgers and fish and chips were well portioned and fill you up. The craft beer was very tasty well worth the wait and the area is stunning could sit there all day and not be bored thank you for the great service.More

We first were told about and found The Waubic 5 summers ago at the end of the boating season. since then We’ve frequented The Waubic in many occasions. At the end of this 5th season we are looking forward to one last visit on Thanksgiving...(our 3rd year - thus making us Family). The Waubic Family Staff (Smileys and Fleets) have always made us feel welcome, treat us well and go above and beyond in everything they prepare and do for their guests! Their spies, entrees, desserts and cocktails are all amazing. You have to have their Riverbread! Their fish and chips (the small will usually fill you). Their Paddleboat Punch is extremely tasty and refreshing and The Baileys Cheese Cake is decadent. Awesome!!!!More

Other people rave about the fish but ours was delivered lukewarm but still tasty. Menu has good variety. Lots of fancy drink libations. Service was friendly but slow as they were busy on a Wednesday afternoon in late August. We enjoyed the ambiance of dining...on the water. Enjoyed the boat trip there and watching the boat traffic although it shoud be in a low wake area as the boats get hammered at the docks. Will try them again next year and hopefully get hot food.More

This boat access only restaurant, on the Severn river just past Lock 43 is fabulous. George , Jennifer and their daughter Karen have created a dining oasis on the water. They open at 11am during the summer.( closed Monday). We arrived at 11:30 and got...the last table. Their menu is very creative and everything is a generous portion and delicious. The Riverbread appetizer is fabulous and a must try as are the onion rings. The fish and chips are fabulous but unless you haven't eaten in a week you might want to share. They have a good selection of craft beers as well. Definately worth th trip if you have a boat.More

This restaurant is a water access only so you need a boat. But the food is amazing the place is very clean and overlooks the water. All the staff are very friendly and polite. When we ordered our food we were impressed It tasted amazing...my whole family really enjoyed their meal. The dessert is also something special the have homemade baked goods amazing cakes and ice cream. The place does get busy on weekends but during the week it’s great. And if you also have a dog you are allowed to bring your dog on the patio. They also have some merchandise in the restaurant. I really recommend this place if you are out on the Trent.More

This place was a one of a kind restaurant. It took us a little while to find an open spot to dock, but the owners son-in-law came out and helped us find a spot. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly. I ordered...a Cesar, a Bloody Mary made with Clamato juice, extra spicy. Then had the fish and chips for lunch. We stayed a while and just took in the sights and sounds of the area. What great afternoon delight.More

If you have a boat and are looking for an awesome place to eat lunch or dinner, make a trip to the Waubic and you will never regret it. They offer a large variety of food on their menu and the staff are friendly as...they bustle around serving drinks and food to customers. The atmosphere here is awesome as you sit out on the patio, watching the boats go by or kids playing in the water, visiting with friends or family. The food is Amazing!!! They offer lots of choices on their menu but the fish and chips are one of the best - make a trip here the next time you are on the Severn. :)More

We had a great couple meals at the Waubic. A little slow to deliver from the kitchen so dont rush it,..it is worth the wait. Over a weekend's time, we had fish and chips, roast beef and yorkshires, appies, and salads,..as well as some cold...beer. Flying monkeys 20 oz was very good. Pricing very decent for the area. Portions and sizes huge. The fish and chips blew us all away and the portions massive. The docking good too even though a few jerks made too much wake,..just put a lot of bumpers out. The owners and staff were happy and organized and a pleasure to deal with.More

It was a stupidly hot day that we ate at the Waubic. Once seated we were told the heat had taken out a number of their appliances (including a beer fridge – RIP) – so they were having a horrible day trying to keep up...with orders in their chaotic kitchen. Frankly, I’m surprised they stayed open. But the staff admirably trudged through, what I’m sure, was an awful day for them. It was NOT reflected in their attitude. Remarkably, they remained welcoming and relaxed. So – in spite of the ridiculously long wait, we didn’t complain. The World Cup was on and Flying Monkey’s were on site (they have several beers on tap at the bar) – so there was plenty of distraction. The inside had a Canadian/Nautical theme and bar stool seating. I thought it was pretty charming inside. The restaurant has a good sized outdoor seating area and a few tables inside. I ordered the Fish and Chips which was HUGE and delicious. (I did inhale it) I would return, I was impressed by the Waubic. The customer service was exceptional. I thought it was neat to boat to a restaurant too.More

Best place on the Severn, and arguably best in the world! Food is amazing and people are great. A real throw back to the days when everyone knew their neighbors.
