Have been here a few times. They are expanding now, which is well deserved. Great spot. Ribs were excellent, as were the nachos and salads. Good vibe too

Excellent venue with a great vibe. Very welcoming environment. Great breakfast. The BEST chilli and pineapple margarita on the globe ( New Orleans came close second). Very reasonable pricing.
What a great find. On a trip north of Cairns and stopped for a quick bite, two kids meals, coffee and a glass of wine. Decent sized plates, good sized glass, and fantastic coffee. Service was friendly and helpful, serene location, easy parking and great...pricing. Kids were able to be kids and parents could relax. Well worth the Stop.More
The food at Ellis Beach Bar and Grill always surpasses expectations! For a beach shack style restaurant the food, ambience and entertainment is always on point! If you visit you have to try the house smoke Brisket & Pulled Pork! They are drool worthy and...always come in generous portions!More
Was a short walk from our accomodation which was great, food was yummy, great atmosphere, friendly staff. We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast. Very today and well maintained. Great coffee!
I used to lrate this place but my recent experience has made me reluctant to ever return. A young incredible cocky bar person preferred to big note his knowledge of beers whilst attempting to be condescending to my lovely partner, than advise that the barramundi...taco I ordered was no longer on the menu and give me an option. Instead my order was replaced with a more expensive version with a different fish. Something I actually didn't enjoy. Upon waiting for a lengthy period, my dish with only a few ingredients at almost double the price lacked one; the coriander , a main component. After walking back to the bar, I then had to wait over 10 minutes for whilst my fish went cold. Was not a good meal nor good service. And a real shame the dish was replaced and the staff didn't bring this to our attention. Not sure I'll be back.More
Worst meal EVER Ordered the barramundi still frozen in the middle Disappointing and disgusting Chips were cold , tasted like they had been sitting around for a while !
Oysters advertised in a Sunday for $1 each between 1-4pm (unless sold out!) and there is the catch! We got there at 2pm and they were all gone ! Really??? Just a lurk to get you in but not really fair !!!
Good food in a great location. I had the nachos with brisket which was more than I could eat and was delicious and my husband had the wings which he really enjoyed. People complaining that it is a bit tired, this is all part of...the charm. A chilled out. unpretentious beach side hangout where you can enjoy good food, a few drinks (if you are the designated driver) and grab a game if pool.More
Only popped in for a couple of drinks, left money and tip, no problem. Next thing we know we are chased down road saying we had left short and we knew we hadn't, so went back to bar with them and they found the extra...ten euros still in the box, simple mistake and not an issue but no one said sorry for calling us back and made us feel like criminals so poor review from me.More
Best brunch. Superb coffee. Beautiful view. I'm back. I'm local. I love reviewing. Highly recommended. Enjoy your holiday. Vee
Arrived on a very wet morning and it took a while to place my order.Grabbed an outdoor seat.My food arrived(eggs benedict) and latte.Food was ok.I'd recommend a little bit of a spruce up of the venue to me it looked a little tired.
We stopped in at Ellis Beach Bar & Grill for a bite to eat during our drive from Cairns to Port Douglas. It is a lovely setting...rainforest out the back, and ocean views to the front. Coffees were great, and breakfast was cooked exactly as...we had asked. No hesitation in recommending this place to anyone looking for a nice place to eat.More
Had a lunch here at Ellis Beach Bar & Grill. Whilst they won’t ever win any awards for culinary excellence, the position opposite the water is quite nice, the main road is between them & the water so it is quite noisy with passing traffic...close by. One lunch item, being the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, done on a brioche bun with a relish which has a crusty dry texture to it, combined with the chicken & brioche bun needs an overhaul big time, needs a liquid sauce/dressing in the burger, was like eating cardboard, no flavour, bland as.More
This is a curious venue nestled on the side of the hill and beside the main road but with a great view out across Ellis beach. We had a breakfast and coffee here. The eggs Benedict were good and the coffe is also good. Worth...the stop.More
