We were greeted by a young lady in the warmest of greetings in a long time. She was able to advise us on the menu. My husband had the home made steak and kidney and i had the lamb shank. It came out on a large plate and piping hot! It was certainly great value for money and very traditional... More

Thankfully it is rare to have such a poor experience these days. We should have left when we opened the menu to see them covered in food, dirty and unclean. We only ordered sandwiches chips and soft drinks. There were 4 other tables eating that also ordered food The food arrived sporadically to each table. My friend had finished her... More

Went in today after a lovely local walk. Chaotic at bar even just ordering some drinks, should have left then!! Very 'quirky' inside, or some might say grubby. Menu handed to us looked 100 years old and was sticky with old food. Several other customers arrived at a similar time to us, but can't have been more than 20 people... More

Popped in on way to and from goodwood and couldn't believe how dirty the pub was. It really hasn't been cleaned for years. The landlord gives british publicans a bad name . Also eat at your peril

We were greeted by the Half moon staff with a very warm welcome to all of us. The food was very good. Big portions for the money we paid. We would all recommend this unique museum like 15th century country pub.

This pub is worth going into simply to see the interior !! Full of ancient items. We had an excellent lunch. My husband`s salmon was superb and my rack of lamb fell off the bone. A very good range of vegetables also

Arrived at 1pm, famished. We were only people in the place. Elderly gentleman served us. He was very pleasant, not chatty. We ordered food. The portions were generous and well prepared. The ambience was very sad, How the place is still open I have no idea and this was Fri lunchtime. The rooms were crammed with memorabilla of every description... More

Stopped off on Sunday at 2 for a quick bite. This pub is very local and very old fashioned which makes it quite quaint. The service was friendly enough. The beer was good and the fish and chips passable. ...In this sort of place most things have to be frozen but the quality was fine. ...accompanied by a huge bowl... More

The Railway Enthusiasts Club Farnborough chose his pub for a buffet meal on 31/8/14. 43 of us had been on a day trip to the Bluebell Line and chose this pub as it was approx. half way home. When we arrived at 6:15 there were plenty of staff to serve our drinks (only grouch I heard was the lager was... More

If you want to see what a traditional pub looked like 30 years ago, this is the place to go. There is a nice open fire and lots of rural niknaks all over the ceiling of the main bar, although they do need a good dust. It is a homely and inviting place. The other bar has been laid up... More
